Ohio State"s Joey Bosa, Jalin Marshall suspended for season opener

Joey Bosa Super Sophomore 2014 Highlights

Ohio State has suspended four players, including defensive end JoeyBosaand H-backJalinMarshall, for the Buckeyes season opener against Virginia Tech, the school announced Thursday.

Senior receiver Corey Smith and junior H-back Dontre Wilson are the other two players. The school said they violated athletic department policy.

The violation was some combination of marijuana and academics, ESPNs Joe Schad reports.

Bosa, a rising junior, was a unanimous All-America selection last season after leading the Big Ten with 13.5 sacks and 21 tackles-for-loss. He has received numerous preseason honors this year and was named to several award watch lists. SI.coms Chris Burke named Bosa the top 2016 NFL draft prospect in the Big Ten.

Marshall was OSUs second-leading receiver last season as a true freshman, with 38 catches for 499 yards and six touchdowns.

Ohio State ranked No. 1 in Amway Preseason Coaches Poll

Smith, a fifth-year senior, joined Ohio State as a junior college transfer in 2013 and saw his first action with the Buckeyes last season. He caught 20 passes for 255 yards.

Wilson broke his ankle against Michigan State last November and had two surgeries to repair the injury. He had 21 receptions for 300 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore in 2014.

Last season, the Hokies were the only team to defeat the eventual champion Buckeyes.

Update: Head coach Urban Meyer has commented on Bosa"s suspension.

Service restored to most Staten Island customers who lost power in heat

Five For Fighting - NYC Weather Report (Live)
De Blasio urgers NYers to stay inside because of heat

Service had been restored to most of the 19,000Staten Island customers who lost power in the heat by Tuesday morning, Con Edison reported. Only about 175 customers were still without electricity.

A power outagedue to equipment failure at about 2 p.m. on Monday was most likely caused by the extreme heat, and knocked out power to about 19,000 customers. The areas where customers were without powerincluded St. George, New Brighton, Tompkinsville, Stapleton, Mariners Harbor, and Travis, said Philip O"Brien, a spokesman for Con Edison.

A heat advisory was in effect until 6 p.m. Monday, with the high for the day expected to be well into the 90s. It"s the hottest day of the year so far.

A total of 36 NYPD traffic agents and supervisors were headed to Staten Island on Monday night to manage the evening commute. Police were also placing 24 light towers at "critical intersections and locations including Hylan Blvd. and Father Capodanno Blvd.," according to the mayor"s office.

Customers in the affected Staten Islandareas that didn"t lose power were experiencing a 5% reduction in the voltage, O"Brien said. Richmond Hill in Queens, and an area west of Times Square were experiencing a reduction of 8%.

It was not immediately clear when power would be restored to customers on Staten Island. Con Ed was transporting eight generators -- three are already there -- to support the affected areas.

The city"s Office of Emergency Management was extending the hours of operation for three cooling centers on Staten Island until 11PM: the Todt Hill Community Center, the Richmond Terrace Community Center, and the West Brighton Community Center. MTA buses were also being brought in to help provide air conditioning.

Why You Should Skip Labor Day and Vacation the Weekend After

Vacation - Official Theatrical Trailer [HD]

Labor Day can be a nightmare. Expectations are high since everyone is traveling with the hopes of having as much fun before the grind begins again. Factor in the crowds and high-prices and having a stay-cation might sound like the best choice for the holiday.

But, thanks to a longer summer season Labor Day lands nearly a week later than usual prices for domestic airfare are down 14 percent, at around $310 round-trip, according to Hopper, a trip planning engine that uses data to help travelers make smart vacation decisions. Americans have shown a higher tendency to travel when Labor Day weekend begins in August, according to historical data from AAA, which means that this year there might not be as many people slurping sno cones on the boardwalk.

If you are set on flying, the busiest airports, and therefore the ones to avoid, are New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, according to Kayak. The online travel agency also estimates that the most popular Labor Day destinations are New York, Las Vegas and Chicago. The top international destinations are London, Paris and Cancun.

Last year, only 8 percent of Labor Day travel was by air, which means that the trains, buses and interstates will be clogged that weekend. One good tactic for your last summer hurrah is to travel the weekend before or after, avoiding the high-prices, crowds and traffic that come with the public holiday. Hopper estimates that if you travel the weekend before or after the holiday, you can save about 10 percent on airfare. Factor in the reduced crowds and lower-hotel rates, and a mid-September vacation is a pretty sweet deal.

After growing up in a summer-town, my recommendation would be to travel the weekend after. All along the Eastern seaboard September is a great month as the crowds die down, the temperatures are a bit more moderate and the ocean is still warm, thanks to the Gulf Stream.

Bachelorette Host Chris Harrison Hates UnREAL

The Bachelorette Kaitlyn - Men Tell All - Bloopers 19/19

Kaitlyn Bristowe, the Katniss Everdeen of televised real-life single ladies, gave away her final rose on The Bachelorette last night, and next week, Lifetime will air the season finale of UnREAL, a satire of The Bachelor franchise. And you know who hates UnREAL with the intensity of a thousand broken Bachelor hearts? The Bachelor host Chris Harrison, that"s who. "Really, the main difference that Ive seen is that people watch The Bachelor, Harrison told Variety. Its complete fiction. As much as they would love to jump on our coattails they were begging for us to talk about it and for people to write about it at the end of the day, no one is watching. I mean, absolutely nobody is watching that show. Why? It is terrible. It is really terrible. The shade!

Harrison went on: You only do that when you are part of the vernacular. Because if not, you cant make a joke. Its a sign of respect. The way that UnREAL took it, it wasnt a sign of respect. They were trying to take it another direction, but it doesnt work that way. You"ve hit it on the nose, guy. As avid viewers of UnREAL, we can heartily agree that the show is not about upholding the mythology of The Bachelor, but rather, breaking it down. It"s brutal, gimlet-eyed, and d**n good television. But we"re also starting to realize that Harrison is not a man who responds well to criticism of The Bachelor franchise, which he"s hosted since the first season in 2002.

This was on display during last night"s The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, when Nick Viall sits down for a postmortem with Harrison. When Harrison asks him about his rivalry with Shawn Booth, he starts a sentence that sounds like he might have some ahem criticism of the show, but Harrison cuts him off before he can finish his thought. Nick tries to start again, before Harrison deflects with some primo hosting skills. You better watch out, Nick. One more strike and you"ll disappear forever.

How to Install Windows 10 in 2 Easy Steps

Windows 10 Demo - Official Release (Final Version)

Microsofts Windows 10 is out Wednesday. That means the clock is now ticking for current users of Windows 7 and up, who will have one year from today to take advantage of Microsofts free upgrade offer.

Ready to make the move to Windows 10? Heres a quick and dirty guide to installing it. As with all major upgrades, remember to back up your machine first. Its also a good idea to check if your computer can handle the new software.

1. By now, eligible users should have seen a pop up notification on their desktop inviting them to reserve your free upgrade of Windows 10 (non-eligible users will have to either buy a new Windows device or pony up $119 for the Home version). If you havent already reserved a copy, do so, because thats how Microsoft confirms your eligibility and starts prepping your device, quietly installing files on your computer in anticipation of the big download to come.

2. Soon youll see another pop-up notification to start the upgrade. It will look something like this:

Hit that notification, and the installation begins. Download times can vary from 20 minutes to more than an hour, depending on your device, which should give you more than enough time to read TIMEs Indispensable Guide to Windows 10 and hit the ground running. If you dont see that notification, you can download Windows 10 right here.

Blue Jays pull off stunning trade for Troy Tulowitzki as Orioles talk about ...

MLB 15 The Show Toronto Blue Jays Franchise Mode - Episode 3 - Tulowitzki Trade

Your move, Dan Duquette.

The Orioles executive vice president of baseball operationssaid again Monday that his team is in the playoff chase and that hes looking to improve the club.

Dont wait too long because one of the teams youre battling for a playoff spot, the Toronto Blue Jays, just got a whole lot better.

Already leading the majors in runs scored by a wide margin, the Blue Jays traded for Colorado Rockies All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki early this morning, according to wire reports. The nonwaiver trading deadline is Friday at 4 p.m.

The Blue Jays will also receive 42-year-old reliever LaTroy Hawkins. Toronto is sending shortstop Jose Reyes along with reliever Miguel Castro and two minor league pitchers to the Rockies.

The Orioleswon their third straight game Monday night, 2-1, on walk-off home run by catcher Matt Wieters.

The win kept the Orioles tied with the Blue Jays for second place in the American League East, seven games behind the New York Yankees and three games out in the wild-card race. But the Blue Jays, lacking starting pitching, must have decided they are just going to outscore everyone else as they fight for a playoff spot.

Whats interesting is that the Blue Jays already had a good shortstop in Reyes (batting .285 with four home runs, 16 stolen bases and a .708 OPS) who was leading off and setting the table for the Jays sluggers. Who bats leadoff now? Torontos best on-base percentage guy is Jose Bautista, whos hitting just .234 but getting walked a lot. Do you move Bautista to leadoff and put Tulowitzki (batting .300 in 87 games this season, with 12 home runs and an .831 OPS) in the third spot?

Who cares? At least the Blue Jays are trying to do something.

All Os manager Buck Showalter can do is move players up and down the lineup and hope someone off the bench catches fire. Hes starting Ryan Flaherty at first base for crying out loud.

At the very least the Os can pull the plug on Travis Snider, David Lough and Chris Parmelee. Two of those three should go, and until Steve Pearce comes back, bring Christian Walker up to play first base. Hes hot right now. Maybe it will carry over from Triple-A Norfolk.

The Orioles better hope Ubaldo Jimenez rediscovers what was working in the first half. If he gets lit up again, the Os are in deep trouble.

While its nice to have the best defense in baseball, you cant field home runs. And the Blue Jays, 7-5 against the Os this season, just pulled off a stunning trade to get the best player available and another power bat.

Your move, Dan Duquette.
