Playboy losing nudes, but 66-year-old former N.J. playmate still showing off ...

Playboy Will No Longer Publish Nude Photos

Taking the starch out of its signature bunny ears,Playboywillno longer publish photos of fully n***d women in the very pages that propelledpornography into the mainstream 62 years ago.

But formerPlayboy Playmate Helena Antonaccio,Miss June 1969("Turn-ons: Long hair and sideburns"), says there"s still a market for the tasteful nudes that Playboy once pioneered. And she should know: At 66, she still poses for "artistic depictions of nudity"for subscribers toher eponymous website.

"I"m on Facebook, and people are just bombarding me now with emails," says Antonacci,a Morristown native. "Baby boomers are saying, "Oh, it"s so great, back then it wasn"t so trashy. It was classy." I think people are still looking for that."

Of the pictures themselves, she says: "It"s PG. I"m n**e, but there"s no sexually explicit pictures. It"s pin-up pictures."

It"s just t*****s then?

"And my a*s. But it"s very tasteful."

The magazine is following its digital strategy, which banished nudity from the non-subscription portion of its website last year, and saw the average age of its onlinereaders drop and web traffic quadruple.

The omnipresence of Internet p**n has made nudity in Playboy "just pass at this juncture," said the company"s chief executiveScott Flanders inan interview with The New York Times.

The March 2016 issue will be the first without nudity since Hugh Hefnerfounded the magazine in 1953.

Antonacci ended up in Playboy after a model booker rejected her from a wig assignment, saying she looked "too virginal." ("I"ll show them," she laughs, remembering her outrage. "I went to the Playboy Club and applied for a job, and a photographer asked me if I wanted to be the centerfold.) She reacted to the news of Playboy"s new no-n**e policy with something of a shrug:"I think change is always good."

The reaction on the Internet you know, the forumthat rendered Playboy"s jiggle essentially irrelevant was somewhere between righteous indignation and "Is Playboy still being published?"

Yet Pat Adamo (nee Russo), another Morristown native and Miss November 1965("Turn-offs:Dirty fingernails, pseudo-intellectuals, pick-up lines, loud people"), was glad to hear of Playboy"s decision.

Pat Adamo, a former Playboy Playmate, is happy to see nudes leave pages of Playboy.Facebook courtesy of Pat Adamo

"Today"s Playboy was just nasty, women sitting with their crotches open to the camera," says Adamo, now 74. "That"s totally disgusting. You can"t call it anything but p*********y. It"s not artistic. Today it reveals a whole different way of looking at women that is not particularly flattering."

Adamo, a former assistant at Women"s Day magazine, had moved with her parents and young daughter to Florida but had trouble finding a decent-paying job. One day, she say an ad in the newspaper for a job that paid $200 a week. "I go to this place called the Playboy Club. The interviewer says, "I"d like you to try this costume on. Some fellas came in, managers or hirers, they hired me. I had no idea what I was being hired for."

But Adamo never mastered the "Bunny Dip" for which its cocktail waitresses were famed, so she became a "Door Bunny," collecting keys from members, and that"swhere she meta staff photographer who asked her if she would pose for the magazine. "But I don"t have b***s," she recalls telling him.

She eventually drifted away from modeling, focusing on singing and acting, and working as a teacher and a mental health counselor. Now retired, she lives in Titusville, Fla., and acts in local theater production and performs concerts (she"ll be at the Cocoa Village Playhouse with the Space Coast Singerson Nov. 2) and still autographs her Playboy photos that a middleman sells on eBay.

The road for the undefeated Florida Gators is about to get a whole lot tougher, and not just because No. 6 LSU looms on the schedule this weekend.

GridironNow.com"s Mike Huguenin reports that No. 8 Florida will announce Monday that starting redshirt freshman quarterback Will Grier has been suspended for the rest of the season for a violation of NCAA rules. Florida has a press conference scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET.

Additionally, the Miami Herald"s Jesse Simonton reports that Grier"s suspension is for a violation of the NCAA"s substance-abuse policy involving the drug Ligandrol, which carries with it a one-year calendar ban.

Sources inform GatorBait.net that no already completed Florida games are in jeopardy. Grier can also appeal the decision, with an appeal due within 48 hours of the second failed test unless an extension is granted. He would remain ineligible during the appeal, though the hearing committee will "make a good-faith reasonable effort to hear the appeal before the student-athletes next contest or within 48 hours of the institutions notice of intent to appeal, whichever is longer."

Grier has helped lead Florida to a 6-0 start overall and a 4-0 start in the SEC, giving the Gators a comfortable cushion atop the SEC East standings. He has gone 106-161 (65.8%) passing for 1,204 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions while also racking up 36 carries for 116 yards and two touchdowns.

The offense has been far from prolific, but Grier has played well enough to score points and allow the defense to play with the lead more often than not. Without him, Florida will be forced to turn to sophomore Treon Harris.

Harris has played sparingly this year after starting the opener and splitting reps with Grier in the second game of the season. He served a one-game suspension against Tennessee, and Grier has started every game since.

On the year, Harris is 19-27 (70.4%) passing for 269 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. He has also rushed 10 times for 63 yards.

The Gators will take on the Tigers this Saturday in Baton Rouge at 7 p.m. ET with a national broadcast on ESPN.

Tom Brady on Colts game: "It"s no different this week than it was last week"

Tom Brady The G.O.A.T.

Tom Brady has plenty of motivation for the upcoming Colts game on Sunday Night Football in Indianapolis.

The last time the teams met in the AFC title game, the Colts turned the Patriots in for an alleged use of deflated footballs that led to a series of sanctions against the team, including a four-game suspension of the Pats quarterback that was eventually wiped out on appeal.

You remember Deflategate, right?

Brady, though, did not budge when asked today on WEEI"s Dennis & Callahan radio show if any of that had to do with his preparation for the next game.

The way to do that is to go score as many points as possible. And that takes a lot of execution, that takes a lot of communication with your teammates in practice," Brady said. "Thats what Im focused on. Thats what Im focused on every week. I think it would be a disservice to Mr. Kraft and Jonathan and our organization if I didnt do that every week. I think Ive tried to be very consistent over the course of my career on my attention to detail, my levelheadedness, my poise. I think thats been a real positive for me.

"Now that were playing the Colts, for example, its not like, All right, well, lets go change now. Look, weve got a good thing going for a long time. And it has to do with all things that are football-related. And things that are about kind of our poise and our discipline, our execution. Thats what wins football games. Not what you say or what your talk is or the predictions you make. Like I said, those things dont really matter in the end."

Brady, who noted that he is feeling fine despite a heavy pass rush that resulted in five sacks on Sunday, maintained that the team will go about its business as usual.

Were going to do what we do every week," he said. "Were going to prepare as hard as we can, like we always do, and were going to go down and try to win a game. Were going to try to score every time we touch the ball, just like every other time in every other game. Its no different this week than it was last week or the week before. The better our execution is, the more points well score. Im sure theyre going to be geared up. This is a big game for them, too. Its Sunday Night Football. Theres going to be a high level of energy and emotion. Were going to go out there and were going to try to play our very best. And thats what its going to take.

Chiefs" Jamaal Charles has torn ACL

Top 100 Players of 2015: Jamaal Charles

Chiefs Pro Bowl running back Jamaal Charles could miss the rest of the season with a serious knee injury sustained in the third quarter of Sundays 18-17 loss to the Bears.

Charles had taken a carry deep in Chicago territory when he tried to cut left, his right knee buckling at a gruesome angle. He immediately went to the locker room, and Chiefs coach Andy Reid said after the game the preliminary diagnosis was a torn ACL.

Charles will have an MRI on Monday to confirm the extent of the injury.

Well just see how that goes, Reid said.

Charles missed most of the 2012 season after tearing the ACL in his left knee. In that case, he stepped awkwardly out of bounds while finishing off a carry.

Reid said the Chiefs were fairly certain that Charles had torn ligaments in his knee when he was helped off the field. At that point, he had carried 12 times for 58 yards.

People saw what was going on. They had a pretty good idea, Reid said. I think it was more of a non-contact type of thing. But again, those types of things, you cant come back and have the blocked field goal and have the momentum swing.

Charles leads Kansas City with four touchdowns this season.

Jamaal is one of the heartbeats of this team, wide receiver Chris Conley said. People here love him. We love him in this locker room. To not have him on the football field, it hurts us. It hurts us scheme-wise and it also hurts us because we feel for him.

Fells could lose foot

According to multiple reports, Giants tight end Daniel Fells is suffering from a severe staph infection and may need to have his foot amputated to keep the MRSA bacteria from spreading.

Fells, 32, hasnt played since Week 3 because of injuries to his toe and ankle, and last week was placed on injured reserve. He has since had several operations to address the infection and remains hospitalized.

According to NFL.com, doctors are hopeful new medications can help save Fellss foot from amputation.

To prevent the potential spreading of MRSA, the Giants last week scrubbed their locker room, meeting areas, and training rooms with disinfectant.

Business booming again

The Legion of Boom is back in business.

For the first time this season, Seattle intercepted a pass.

It was safety Earl Thomas who broke the drought for the group that includes Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor, picking off Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton on a pass underthrown for A.J. Green in the end zone.

Earlier, Cincinnati ended the Seahawks streak of not allowing a TD over their opponents last 20 offensive series.

Dalton led Cincinnati 86 yards in seven plays after the opening kickoff, hitting an uncovered Tyler Eifert for an 11-yard touchdown pass. Seattles D had allowed a grand total of only one field goal in the previous 20 offensive series.

Titans get a restart

Bills wide receiver Marcus Easley saved Bishop Sankey and the Titans from an ugly mistake to open their game.

Sankey muffed the kickoff, and the Titans were lucky that Craig Stevens recovered the ball at the Tennessee 2 even though a couple of Bills thought they recovered the ball.

Still, what could have been a big play to open the game for Rex Ryans Bills turned into just the latest Buffalo bungle on a penalty call, because an official threw a flag to call Easley for being offside on the kickoff.

That forced another kick, and the Titans started their first drive at their 23 rather than the 2.

Gates ready for return

Antonio Gates did the crime and served the time.

Although he still hasnt fessed up to what he tested positive for that got him suspended for four games, the Chargers star tight end took responsibility and is now ready to play football.

Gates returns to action Monday night when the Chargers (2-2) host the Steelers (2-2).

Whatever it is the coordinator wants, whatever position, whatever role he wants me to be in, just try to do that to the best of my ability and things will be fine, Gates said. Just find a way to get a win. Thats the most important thing.

Gates hasnt shined any light on what he tested positive for, other than to say that his testosterone level was high. Gates also said he let the team down.

I think you have to be more aware, he said. Thats the lesson you learn ... Youre accountable for what you put in your body ... no matter what it is, I"m responsible for it.

Gates needs one touchdown catch for 100 in his career.
