Draymond Green Kicks Steven Adams in the Groin | Warriors vs Thunder | Game 3 | 2016 NBA Playoffs
Look at this little girl. She is almost too amazing. She is, of course, in costume, pretending to be the Oklahoma City Thunder"s Steven Adams, the seven-foot sensation that has helped push the team to a 3-1 series lead over the Golden State Warriors. You may see her as cute, and she most certainly is that, but we prefer to see her first and foremost as tough.
Look at her glorious mustache. Take in her intimidating sleeve. Weep at the altar of her bun. She is and always will be a Lil" Stache Bro, ready for the world, just as her own personal hero will be ready for Game 5 on Thursday.
Peter Thiel speaks at Center on Capitalism and Society"s 2015 conference
He was an early backer in a number of high-profile companies, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Yelp.
He"s passionate about the safe development of artificial intelligence, believes in legal marijuana, and advocates for anti-aging research.
And now Thiel has something else to add to his resume: He told the New York Times on Wednesday that that he"s been secretly financing Hulk Hogan"s lawsuit against Gawker Media.
In March, Hogan was awarded $140 million. Gawker founder Nick Denton said that few media companies could afford that kind of a payout.
It"s not completely surprising that Thiel would have it out for Gawker.
After all, his personal life was exposed by Gawker"s tech blog, Valleywag, back in 2007, when it ran an article titled, "Peter Thiel is totally gay, people." The article outed Thiel, who is now openly gay. Denton was the first to comment on the post. "The only thing that"s strange about Thiel"s sexuality: why on earth was he so paranoid about its discovery for so long?"
Thiel never hid his disdain for the site, saying in 2009 that "Valleywag is the Silicon Valley equivalent of Al Qaeda."
When news of Thiel"s possible involvement in the Hogan case surfaced, many people were concerned about what this means for the freedom of the press. Can a billionaire actively work to put a news outlet out of business?
That, after all, seems at odds with Thiel"s financial support of the Committee to Protect Journalists.
Between July 2008 and January 2013, the Thiel Foundation donated more than $1 million to the organization. For its part, CPJ said it supports the rights of individuals seeking redress from defamation but doesn"t support efforts to bankrupt an organization.
This is far from the only contrarian thing about Thiel, who is also the author of the New York Times" bestseller, Zero to One, where he argues that monopolies should be the goal for entrepreneurs. Here are some more:
1. He doesn"t believe in higher education, yet he taught at Stanford University.
In 2012, Thiel agreed to be a guest professor at Stanford University, teaching students about computer science and startups.
Thiel, who was born in Germany, studied philosophy at Stanford University and went on to earn his J.D. from Stanford Law. But in 2011, he launched the Thiel Foundation, which gives young entrepreneurs $100,000 to forgo college and start a tech company instead.
Of his professorship, he told the London Daily Mail: "If I do my job right, this is the last class you"ll ever have to take."
2. A self-professed libertarian, he is slated to be a Donald Trump delegate this summer.
In 2009, Thiel wrote about why he"s a libertarian, calling politics "way too intense."
"Politics gets people angry, destroys relationships, and polarizes peoples" vision: the world is us versus them; good people versus the other. Politics is about interfering with other people"s lives without their consent. That"s probably why, in the past, libertarians have made little progress in the political sphere. Thus, I advocate focusing energy elsewhere, onto peaceful projects that some consider utopian."
In recent years, Thiel has, however, been a supporter of the Republican Party. He was a large donor to Ron Paul"s 2008 presidential campaign and funneled money to the Super PAC Conservative Authentic Responsive Leadership, which backed Carly Fiorina.
Trump -- and Thiel -- aren"t entirely at odds. They"re both known for being blunt, making sweeping generalizations and being unapologetically opinionated.
3. He"s anti-government, but his company Palantir mines consumer data for the government.
The CIA backed his latest company, Palantir, which has banked more than $2.5 billion since launching in 2004. The secretive software company makes it easier for clients like banks and police agencies to search and analyze data to track down criminals and terrorists.
That"s at odds with his stance about government control, which he"s said was the vision behind PayPal.
PayPal, he wrote, was inspired by the idea of creating a currency "free from all government control and dilution."
Thiel defended Palentir"s role in a Fortune article in March. "The government was collecting a lot of data [in the war on terrorism], more than they could analyze," he told Fortune. "If we could help them make sense of data, they could end indiscriminate surveillance."

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Tampa Bay Lightning. 2016 NHL Playoffs. ECF. Game 6. 05.24.2016. (HD)
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) If little Nikita Franklin looks a tad tired, its probably because she was up late Tuesday night, watching the Bolts in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, along with her parents, Eric and Laine Franklin, from a bed at Florida Hospital in Tampa.
She had every reason to be up past her bedtime. After all, she is named after the Russian right winger, Nikita Kucherov.
This all started when the couple found out they were expecting and had tickets to a Bolts game that very same night.
When I found out that I was pregnant, we were going to a lightning game. My husband said We are going to name our kid after the first person who scores!
I predicted that it was going to be Nikita Kucherov and thats who it was! It was a joke at first, and then it stuck with her! said new mother, Laine Franklin.
After some much-needed rest, the Franklin family was paid a visit on Wednesday morning by a very famous face here on the ice in Tampa Bay.
Florida Hospital Tampa photo
No, not Kucherov himself!
When he found out about the honor, he was already on his way up to Pittsburgh for Game Seven on Thursday.
Buzzing through the hallways of the hospital, Thunderbug himself paid Nikita a visit, bringing along lots of Lighting swag to make sure the baby girl was decked out in Bolts Blue from the beginning.
She will have a story behind her name, not just a random name out of a baby book, said Franklin
Hopefully they win tomorrow! We will be watching! Franklin added.
Little Nikita is still resting at Florida Hospital, weighing in at 8 pounds, 11 ounces.

Milo Yiannopoulos, Steven Crowder and Christina Hoff Sommers at UMass
Dr. Douglas Haynes, the Vice Provost for Academic Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the University of California-Irvine, apparently was so aghast at posters advertising a coming appearance of conservative commentator Milo Yiannopoulos that he sent a school-wide email condemning the flyers offensive language.
He followed that by sigh recommending that students participate in Safe Zone training.
UCI adjunct Gary Fouse sent his own email to Haynes inquiring why, for example, Jewish students do not get this kind of concern when year after year, [] anti-Israel events come to our campus.
Here is my point, Fouse writes. The LGBT community at UCI is not the only group that feels threatened. It is time that UCI start paying attention to the comfort level of Jewish students as well. The UC Regents made a commitment when they issued their statement of principles.
The university has an obligation to live up to it. What I ask is that UCI extend the same support to Jewish students when they are victimized as it does to other groups. You have exercised your own right of free speech in responding to Mr. Yiannopoulos coming appearance. The university also has the right to exercise its own free speech in response to anti-Semitism on campus.

If you were expecting a mealy-mouthed response, Haynes does not disappoint:
Dear Gary Fouse,
Thank you so much for reaching out to me. As you know,UCI is a space for the free interchange of ideas. It is quite true that some positions and viewpoints may indeed offend members of our campus community. This commitment to free speech is capacious enough so that any community member may rebut attacks that offend. Indeed, Chancellor Gillman in his April 29 message to the campus on Free Speech and Mutual Respect put it this way when members of our community are subjected to hateful, discriminatory and inflammatory personal attacks, we speak out in support of them. The same First Amendment that protects offensive and even hateful speech also protects our right to oppose and condemn speech that is inconsistent with our values. (http://chancellor.uci.edu/engagement/campus-communications/2016/160429-free-speech.html). If you believe that you experience or witness behavior that is inconsistent with our campus Principles of Community, please submit an intolerance report at thehttps://ucsystems.ethicspointvp.com/custom/ucs_ccc/default.asp.
Thank you again for reaching out to me. I appreciate your engagement in this important matter. Please know thatmy office remains open to all members of the UCI community to further efforts to promote inclusive excellence.
Yes, submit an intolerance report. Well get to it. Sometime. Eventually.
The UCI College Republicans had also called out Haynes for his inconsistencies, wondering where the condemnation email was when students tore down posters advertising an event featuring David Horowitz the week before.
If UCI is a space for the free interchange of ideas as the provost says, then why did he label the Yiannopoulos (whos gay, by the way) advertisements bigotry, and subsequently notethat his freedom of speech should be shut down: Let me be clear: Bigotry has no place here or anywhere.
Thats not opposition and/or condemnation. Thats a statement advancing a prohibition.

Breitbarts Milo Yiannopoulos spoke at the University of Oregon last night,on the latest stop of his Dangerous f****t Tour of American college campuses.
The event, hosted by the Oregon chapter of Young Americans for Liberty, was not marked by blood-smeared feminist protesters or a rotund woman bouncing up and down in the audience.

Instead,Yiannopoulos, sporting arare Supreme uzi pendant alongside two crucifixes and with $15,000 worth of pearls around his wrist, had an impromptu debate on stage with a member of the audience who had decriedhim as dangerous and hateful.
During the main section of the talk, Yiannopoulos, sporting $900 Supreme Foamposite sneakers, blamed adults for indulging vulnerable young girls in the delusion of body positivity, citing the UMass protester known as Trigglypuff as a prime example of what happens to young women when they listen to feminists who declare that you can be healthy at every size, even though overweight individuals die much younger and crucially, are much uglier.
In relation to gun control, Milo, who kept$400 Versace sunglasses on throughout the Q&A, reinforced his support for the Second Amendment, especially in relation to individual citizens having the ability to protect their otherrights.
Yiannopoulos, wearing $350 True Religion jeans, even stated that every teacher should have a gun in their drawer, with whichto protect students.
The highlight of the evening came during the Question and Answer session at the end. Milo was subject to an audience member declaring that his views were dangerous and hateful. Unlike feminists and other social justice warriors, Milo invited the man up onto stage to have a debate with him, one on one.
After admitting that he was not familiar with much of Milos material, the audience member still proceeded to attack Milo for his lack of empathy.
In typical fashion, Milo eviscerated his opponent. Noting that the questioner was a liberal, Milo pointed out that if Milowere an Islamist imam, the questionerwould not have comeouttotell him that his speech was dangerous. The liberal mind is a mystery, said Yiannopoulos.
Milo responded to the questioners objections to his remarks about lesbianic feminists by saying that they are lying to children, and that the least he could do was take the p**s. Lesbian dominated gender studies departments [are] deserving of ridicule [they are a] poisonous influence its like putting Hitler in charge of a Museum of Jewish Antiquity.
The fun did not stopthere. After a talk that was morestand-up than college lecture, with the audience in stitches most of the night, the last question went to afemale audience member.
Referring to a previous statement of Milos that women like aggression in the bedroom, she asked Milo exactly how many women he had pleased, if at all. His response? I think the tally is about 12, possibly 13 12 or 13 more than you. There was no follow-up question.
