Tim Tebow leaps into action during medical emergency

Tim Tebow"s playoff win: Steelers vs. Broncos 2011 Wild Card Game highlights

Former NFL star Tim Tebow and the Delta Air Lines flight crew lept into action over the weekend to help a man experiencing a medical emergency.

Richard V. Gotti wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday about the in-flight medical emergency on a Phoenix-bound flight from Atlanta that he witnessed.

Gotti said that a man a few rows ahead of him began suffering what appeared to be heart problems. He said that everyone onboard the plane helped whether it was it was chest compressions, starting an IV, helping breathe life into this man, or praying

The crew of Delta Airlines were amazing. They acted in a fast and professional manner! Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle, Gotti continued.

He then noticed a man starting to walk down the aisle toward the family that was in distress.

I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy was Tim Tebow. He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for G*d in a difficult situation, Gotti added.

He also said when the plane landed in Phoenix, the man got a pulse back. However, People Magazine reported the man later died in a hospital

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Delta Air Lines spokesman Brian Kruse confirmed that there had been a medical emergency during the flight and that paramedics were there to greet the plane to give the passenger immediate care.

We cant say enough about the Delta professionals who care for our customers every day and we are grateful to our customers who are so often quick to extend kindness and care to one another, he said.

Gottis Facebook post has been shared more than 5,000 times since his posting.

Tebow has made no mention of the incident on the plane and Delta Air Lines doesnt release information about who is onboard their flights.

A separate Instagram photo posted by Pamela Rainey shows Tebow sitting in front of her and a mention of the medical emergency that was on the flight.

What the Ikea Recall Means to Consumers

Have an Ikea dresser? What you need to know about the recall

Ikea agreed to immediately stop selling dressers that can too easily tip over onto children after at least six children have been crushed to death, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.

Millions of customers who bought chests and dressers sold by the popular Swedish furniture retailer could receive a refund after Ikea said Monday that it would immediately stop selling the wobbly products. If consumers do not want to return the dresser, the company will provide an anchor kit to secure the item.

An additional 36 children have been injured by Ikea chests and dressers, which are prone to tip over when they are not secured to a wall. The six deaths -- all children under the age of 4 -- date back to 1989 and are as recent as this February, the CPSC said.

Ikea has acknowledged the problems with its Malm line of dressers.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with IKEA is announcing a repair program that includes a free wall anchoring kit, for their Malm chests and other dressers.

What is the full scope of the recall?

The Ikea recall applies to at least 29 million chests and dresser products.

The company said that its Malm products will be discontinued because of the associated dangers, according to a statement from Ikea.

Last year, Ikea began offering anchoring kits to customers who purchased the dressers after regulators called them unsafe. The company stressed that the repair program helped to "communicate the importance of wall attachment, which resulted in the distribution of 300,000 kits to consumers who had not used their original hardware."

What should consumers do if they own an Ikea dresser?

Ikea will offer full refunds or partial store credit, depending on the manufacturing year, to anyone who returns of its dressers and chests from its Malm line and other recalled lines. Free anchoring kits are also available.

The recall applies to the products addressed by the 2015 program for repairs and anchoring kits, plus some other units. The recalled MALM chests were sold from 2002 through June 2016 for between $70 and $200.

Consumers have three options to receive a free wall anchoring kit: visit an IKEA retail store, go to www.IKEA-USA.com/saferhomestogether, or call (888) 966-4532. According to the CPSC, Consumers can install the kit themselves or IKEA will provide a one-time, free in-home installation service, upon request.

Why are these dressers and chests dangerous?

The CPSC said two boys under the age of 3 were killed in 2014 after Malm chests that had not been secured to walls tipped over and fell on them. A 22-month-old boy from Minnesota also died this February when a Malm 6-drawer chest fell on top of him, according to the CPSC.

In addition to these deaths, Ikea said it received reports of 41 tip-over incidents involving the Malm chests and dressers, resulting in 17 injuries to children between the ages of 19 months and 10 years old.

Furthermore, Ikea said it had received 41 reports of tip-overs involving non-Malm chests and dressers, which resulted in the deaths of three children and 19 injuries.

"It is clear that there are still unsecured products in customers homes," Ikea said in a statement. "We believe that taking further action is the right thing to do."

Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pennsylvania, said he would press for legislation that enforces a mandatory safety standard.

"While this is a positive development this battle is by no means over. The facts are clear: far too many children are exposed to unsafe furniture that can easily tip over. What is needed is a strong federal safety standard that can give parents the peace of mind they deserve," Casey said in a statement.

A child dies every two weeks and a child is injured every 24 minutes in the U.S. from furniture or televisions tipping over, according to CPSC data.

Editor"s note: This story has been updated to reflect the number of known injuries and deaths from Ikea chests and dressers as reported by Ikea and the CPSC.

Lenny Dykstra opens up about hard-partying Phillies and having s*x with elderly women

Former MLB player Lenny Dykstra on The Dan Patrick Show (Full Interview)

There is no such thing as a boring conversation with Lenny Dykstra.

Yet for a guy who has admitted to blackmailing umpires, taking steroids prescribed by a hillbilly doctor and forcing Craigslist housekeepers to give him a massage, you have to wonder when the former Phillies center fielder is going to run out of things to open up about.

On Tuesday, Dykstra had another revelation to share with the world: He has embarked on a new post-baseball career moonlighting as a male gigolo for elderly women.

I thought G*d put me on Earth to entertain people on the baseball field but He actually put me on earth to [pleasure women], Dykstra said on Howard Stern"s SiriusXM Radio show. Im like Picasso.

Dykstra told Stern how several elderly clients pay him for companionship and romantic dinner dates.Dykstra noted that for most of the older women, its more about intimacy than s*x. Their bones are brittle, he said.

Stern asked if Dykstra would have s*x with a woman who was Dykstra"s age.

If they paid me, he responded. Its my duty.

Warning: NSFW language

Dykstra also visited the Dan Patrick Show, where he made it clear which of his former teams was wilder off the field.

"I didnt even know what partying was with the Mets, Dykstra told Patrick. That whole Mets team is made out to be some crazy, wild group. Our Phillies made them look like children. We had fun and made people like it.

Dykstra said he partied hard with his Phillies teammates, whether it was booze, drugs or other things. It was their reputation as a wild crew that made them so intimidating to other squads.

"It was rocketships, roids ... and the other teams knew it, too, Dykstra said. [The league] didnt want any part of us.

As it does often with Dykstra, the topic quickly turned to steroids, which the slugger admitted he started to take after being traded from the Mets to the Phillies in 1989 and becoming the teams everyday center fielder.

Im a small guy, Dykstra told Patrick. My body just couldnt hold up.

Dykstra said the average fan doesnt understand how grueling the 162-game season is for players.

As weird as this sounds, I actually did [steroids] for the right reason, Dykstra said. I did it for my family and my ability to stay on the field.

So what other Phillies were using steroids? Anybody who was good, an unusually reserved Dykstra said, unwilling to name anyone. The only ones who werent using them were stupid.

Nigel Farage has tapped into a volcano of fury over immigration - and it"s not stopped erupting yet

Nigel Farage We need to trigger article 50 now

It is not inconceivable that MPs could ignore the wishes expressed in the referendum and decide to keep Britain in the EU. After all, at some point the means of leaving has to be put to a vote of Parliament. If Brexit does not get through, it doesnt happen. Which bit of parliamentary sovereignty do people not understand?

But what is constitutionally possible is politically improbable. More likely, because this could secure a majority in Parliament and stop the UK cracking up, is that we leave the political bits of Europe and stay in the single market, perhaps by joining the EEA.

This might entail a deal on immigration, possibly a return to the original Common Market idea of free movement of labour, not of people. But our erstwhile EU partners would need to agree to change the rules; and it will mean seriously disappointing those who voted Leave thinking they would stop immigration outright. They will be angry. And where will they turn? We havent heard the last of Nigel Farage.

Ukip leader Nigel Farage right to ask for Brexit with no delays

Jean-Claude Juncker to Nigel Farage: "Why are you here?"

Why are you here? asked EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker. There is no doubt Mr Farage was here to savour his moment of glory.

He pointed out to the assembled MEPs that he had first arrived 17 years ago when he told them he wanted to lead a campaign to get Britain to leave the EU.

They laughed at him then but they certainly werent laughing now.

His other purpose was to urge that there should be a pragmatic, sensible, grown-up, realistic approach to a British-EU trade deal which would be in everyones interests.

Whats more it was important that Article 50, which triggers the process of formal exit, should be implemented as soon as possible.

Any unnecessary delay would be a cause of additional uncertainty. He is right.

To delay Article 50 while the Conservatives put a new prime minister in place may suit David Cameron who can effectively pass the buck but it is not in the best interests of the country.

Delay would allow Remainers to look for ways to hold a second referendum or seek deals which would compromise Brexit.

There are undoubtedly trade-offs to be done but let us leave Brussels in no doubt that Britain is definitely standing by the results of the referendum.

Welcome all criminals

How was Latvian murderer Arnis Zalkalns allowed to enter Britain where he sexually assaulted and killed 14-year-old Alice Gross in August 2014 before hanging himself?

The inquest now underway into Alices death has heard that foreign criminals entering the UK were not routinely checked by the police.

This admission was made by Detective Superintendent Mick Forteath even though figures show that at least 200 foreigners were being arrested every day in London alone.

This, said Alices mother Rosalind Hodgkiss, has destroyed much of our faith in our countrys ability to protect its citizens.

The ease with which undesirable European nationals have entered Britain is a scandal. Less open borders would mean more rigorous checks.

Its as simple as that.

Had the monster Zalkalns been kicked out as he tried to get into the UK, Alice Gross would still be alive today.

Oldest cat in the world

A TABBY called Nutmeg is 31 and believed to be the worlds oldest cat.

A mere kitten when Mrs Thatcher was prime minister he has lived through many earth-shattering events none more exciting than those of the past week.
