After you take a look back into the past, the future shines through with the latest Team USA gear and the sneakers that our squad will be rocking in Rio, including the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Flyknit and the Air Jordan 31 in red, white and blue.

Saturdays festivities included a handful of Drew League games featuring local stars and NBA guys both current and former such as Jordan Clarkson and Baron Davis. But the night truly got started when Chance The Rapper (!) made a surprise appearance and performance before handing it off to the stars of night, Team USA Basketball members (and Nike/Jordan athletes) Jimmy Butler, Kyrie Irving, Elena Delle-Donne and 3-time gold medalist and legend Tamika Catchings. After a quick chat with Kyrie where we asked him about being able to reconnect with Coach K in Team USA Basketball, we ended the night with a dunk contest that saw the winner Michael Purdie walk away with a Nike-branded Aston Martin. No, seriously, the car had swooshes all over it.

Sand Fire - Santa Clarita - July 23rd Update 1pm Four suspects are sought in a series of residential burglaries, Sheriffs officials said Monday, while repeating a frequent warning to potential victims lock your doors, close your garages and makes sure your house doesnt have basic vulnerabilities, like open windows, when no one is home.Dont miss a thing. Get breakingKHTS Santa Clarita News Alertsdelivered right to your inbox.
The four individuals still wanted by the Sheriffs Department Major Crimes Bureau Robbery/Burglary Task Force are: Anthony Souice, 32; Joshua Johnson, 26; Alexus Netterville, 20; and Eric Netterville, 19.
Sheriffs Headquarters Bureau officials declinedto release the booking photos for the four outstanding suspects Monday, and declined to give a reason.
There are four outstanding suspects related to the current investigation, said Sgt. Mike Maher of the Robbery/Burglary Task Force. We as a Sheriffs Department, are always active in investigating additional burglary crews.
Santa Clarita Valley residents need to be especially careful about locking up their homes and valuables, he added, because the SCV is part of a region known as the 210-corridor, because of the eponymous interstate.
We tend to think of the 210 corridor as stretching from the Santa Clarita Valley out east toward the San Bernardino County line, he said. That (corridor) tends to be a target-rich area.
Not quite affluent, the so-called upper-middle class, middle class and working class neighborhoods along this area are frequently targeted because thieves assume theres a much greater chance someone will be away at work during the day, Maher said, adding hes very familiar with the Santa Clarita Valley area.
People are sometimes afraid to be a little paranoid and they should be a little paranoid, he said. Its not a black-white-Hispanic thing, its about seeing someone you dont know in your neighborhood.
To that end, Sheriffs Department officials are encouraging Los Angeles County residents to get to know their neighbors, at least digitally, online, through a social media program known as NextDoor.
The department is encouraging residents to sign up for the program, which verifies users addresses, so the people communicating are able to sign up by an actual geographic neighborhood. The network doesnt allow LASD officials to view neighbors posts to each other, but it does allow Sheriffs Station officials to communicate with a specific neighborhood, which is helpful in getting the word out if there is an emergency incident, or a specific rash of crimes that officials want to alert residents about,Sheriffs Department officials have said.

Six members of the ring have already had their cases heard in court, and three of the suspects were directly linked to a pair of Santa Clarita Valley burglaries.
In May 2015, task force investigators arrested Leandrenae Cooke, Ashley Tate and Tazjanay Herndon who were suspects in two Santa Clarita Valley residential burglaries and two San Marino residential burglaries. All four were prosecuted and convicted in late 2015. Cooke pled guilty and was sentenced, receiving two strikes, and hes currently serving a two-year prison sentence.
Herndon pled guilty and was sentenced to one year in county jail with a felony strike, and is currently out of custody on felony probation. Tate pled guilty and was sentenced to nine years in state prison, due to a second felony strike.
In addition to the above seven individuals, four others have been sentenced as part of the theft ring, and six others are expected to be prosecuted shortly.

On May 5, 2016, detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Departments Major Crimes Bureau, Burglary-Robbery Task Force, filed a 24-count, 10-defendant, residential burglary series case with the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office, High Tech Crimes Division.
This criminal complaint alleged the suspects committed residential burglaries throughout Los Angeles County and surrounding areas as well as, felons possessing firearms, and felony evading of police. The complaint further alleged these crimes were committed by active criminal street gang members for the purpose of benefiting their gang.
In March 2015, the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Departments Major Crimes Bureau, Burglary-Robbery Task Force (BRTF) began an investigation into a large scale sophisticated residential burglary crew, comprised of suspected South Los Angeles gang members.
The initial residential burglary occurred in early March 2015, in Claremont, where Claremont Police Detectives determined suspects were making phone calls into homes prior to committing the burglary. Claremont Police detectives continued this investigation and shared the information with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Departments Major Crimes Bureaus Burglary-Robbery Task Force.
In the proceeding months, LASD BRTF investigators determined the Claremont burglary was part of a well-organized southern California residential burglary crew, comprised of Los Angeles area gang members. BRTF investigators worked closely with Sheriff Detectives from Crescenta Valley Station, Los Angeles County Sheriffs Crime Analysts, Simi Valley Police Detectives, and ultimately Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office, High Tech Crimes Division, and identified the suspects. Investigators determined all suspects were operating as part of this significant burglary ring.
In June 2105, LASD BRTF investigators along with Simi Valley PD, shared information regarding several recent residential burglaries and determined the same suspects were victimizing Simi Valley neighborhoods were also committing residential burglaries throughout Los Angeles County. Both agencies worked together in an effort to identify and arrest remaining active suspects involved in this burglary ring.
In September 2015, LASD BRTF investigators were actively conducting surveillance of three burglary suspects. Investigators witnessed the suspects commit and residential burglary in Sherman Oaks, and as detectives prepared to apprehend them, they observed them commit a second residential burglary in North Hollywood. After a brief vehicle pursuit and area containment with the assistance of LAPD, BRTF investigators arrested Rafiki Smith (who was armed with a handgun) and Derrick Smith. The third suspect was not apprehended. Rafiki Smith is currently in LA County custody awaiting preliminary hearing on multiple residential burglary and weapons violations, and based on his lengthy violent criminal history, will be facing life in prison. Derrick Smith is currently held in federal custody for weapons violations and is also awaiting preliminary hearing on multiple residential burglary violations.
In October 2015, LASD BRTF and Simi Valley PD witnessed three suspects commit a residential burglary in Simi Valley. The three suspects, Jason Hayes, Diamond Williams, and Vance Zelaya, were all arrested leaving the vicinity.
Hayes pled guilty to the burglary charge and is awaiting sentencing. Zelaya and Williams are out of custody on bond and awaiting preliminary hearing.
In November 2015, LASD BRTF investigators were conducting surveillance of vehicle occupied by suspected members of this burglary ring. Investigators observed three males commit a residential burglary in the hillside neighborhood of Pacific Palisades.
All three suspects were arrested leaving the vicinity and stolen property from the home was recovered. Rayshawn Marshall, Mark Hundley, and Michael Butler were all arrested for the burglary and are currently in LA County Jail awaiting preliminary hearing. Marshall is facing an additional eight counts of felony residential burglary. Hundley is facing an additional eight counts of felony residential burglary. Butler, who at the time of his arrest was out of custody on bond from a recent residential burglary arrest, is facing an additional two counts of felony residential burglary.
Following the above arrests, LASD BRTF investigators identified six additional suspects who were actively participated in this burglary ring: Montayo Jones, arrested and in custody held on $140,000 bail, and charged with two residential burglaries, Chivetta Overstreet, arrested and held without bail and charged with three residential burglaries, Anthony Souice, charged with two residential burglaries and currently being sought for apprehension. Joshua Johnson, charged with three residential burglaries and currently being sought for apprehension. Alexus Netterville, charged with five residential burglaries and currently being sought for apprehension. Eric Netterville, charged with three residential burglaries and currently being sought for apprehension.Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Burglary-Robbery Task Force investigators believe this burglary crew is responsible for dozens, if not hundreds of residential burglaries throughout southern California.
They mainly travelled in expensive luxury vehicles and rental cars, generally knocking on a front door to determine if a resident was home. If no one answered, they would force entry through a rear door or window, ransack the home stealing cash, jewelry, weapons and other valuables.
Typically, the gold and jewelry would be sold all over Los Angeles at Cash for Gold businesses and p**n items at locals p**n shops.
This investigation is ongoing and future arrests are imminent.

Oscar Valdez made mincemeat of Matias Rueda to claim the vacant WBO featherweight title.
In his 20th professional fight, Mexico"s Oscar Valdez claimed his first world title tonight, winning the vacant WBO featherweight built with a second round stoppage win over Argentina"s Matias Rueda, dropping his opponent twice on body shots.
Valdez (20-0, 18 KO) battered and bloodied Rueda (26-1, 23 KO) in the opening round, showing a clear class disparity between the two fighters, which was one of the two ways this could have gone. Rueda, who had never really been tested before getting this fight, was simply out of his depth against the very talented and aggressive Valdez, and in the second round, Valdez dropped him on a body shot, and finished him with another moments later. Referee Russell Mora waved the count for the TKO.
The 25-year-old Valdez still has a level or two to face in this division, levels he"s yet to fight at in his pro career, and those could tell us a different story. But for now, he does have claim to one quarter of the recognized featherweight championship of the world, and all he"s done is fight his best, and his best has been a lot of fun to watch so far.

WikiLeaks DNC Emails Forcing Debbie Wasserman Schultz to Resign. Clinton Only 1.9 Above Donald Trump FILE - In this Jn. 24, 2015 file photo, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. speaks during a news conference in Des Moines, Iowa. The Democratic National Committee barely has more cash than it does IOUs, and it is being outraised month after month by its Republican counterpart. Its $24 million debt from the 2012 presidential election, only recently paid down, has squeezed investments in the next White House race. Underdeveloped party resources such as voter data files could become a serious disadvantage for the eventual nominee, particularly if that person is not front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton, who would enter a general election contest with her own outreach network. (AP Photo/Charlie Neibergall, File)
PHILADELPHIA (AP) Debbie Wasserman Schultz is resigning under pressure as Democratic Party chairwoman, a stunning leadership shakeup as party officials gather in Philadelphia to nominate Hillary Clinton.
Wasserman Schultzs announcement Sunday follows a firestorm over hacked emails suggesting the Democratic National Committee favored Clinton during the primary, despite pledging neutrality. The leaked emails prompted primary runner-up Bernie Sanders to call for Wasserman Schultzs immediate resignation.
In a statement, Wasserman Schultz said she will step down at the end of the four-day convention. She said she plans to formally open and close the convention, as well as address delegates.
Her statement does not address the email controversy.
Wasserman Schultzs swift ouster underscores party leaders desire to avoid convention confrontations with Sanders loyal supporters. The chairwoman has been a lightning rod for criticism throughout the presidential campaign, with Sanders repeatedly accusing the DNC of backing Clinton.
Sanders said the 19,000 emails published by the website Wikileaks appeared to confirm his suspicions.
In one leaked email, a DNC official wondered whether Sanders religious beliefs could be used against him, questioning whether the candidate may be an atheist.
Sanders pressed for Wasserman Schultz to quit as chairwoman immediately. He also suggested that Clintons choice of running mate, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, was a disappointment and that he would have preferred Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a favorite of liberals.
His political views are not my political views. He is more conservative than I am. Would I have preferred to see somebody like an Elizabeth Warren selected by Secretary Clinton? Yes, I would have, Sanders told NBCs Meet the Press.
The Clinton team worked to portray their partys convention in a different light from the just concluded Republican gathering in Cleveland, where Donald Trump accepted the GOP nomination but party divisions flared when his chief rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, refused to endorse the billionaire businessman.
Trump cast himself as the law-and-order candidate in a nation suffering under crime and hobbled by immigration, as the GOP convention stuck to a gloom-and-doom theme. Democrats said they wanted to convey a message of optimism and improving the lives of all Americans.
But party disunity also seems to be a factor in Philadelphia, given Sanders demands for a new leader and general unhappiness among his many supporters about how the nomination process unfolded.
Norman Solomon, a delegate who supports Bernie Sanders, says there is talk among Sanders delegates of walking out during Kaines acceptance speech or turning their backs as a show of protest.
Solomon said he believes a vast majority of Sanders delegates support these kinds of protests to express their dismay. Sanders supporters say they are concerned that Kaine is not progressive enough.
Dan ONeal, 68, is a retired school teacher and delegate from Arizona, said Wasserman Schultz has to be censured.
We knew they were stacking the deck against Bernie from the get-go, but this type of stuff coming out is outrageous, he said. It proves our point that theyve tried to marginalize him and make it as difficult as possible.
Trumps campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, agreed, saying Sanders supporters have a lot to complain about.
The emails have proven the system was rigged from the start, Manafort told Fox News Sunday.
Clintons campaign manager, Robby Mook, tried to shift blame away from DNC officials to Russian state actors who, he said, may have hacked into DNC computers for the purpose of helping Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.
How the emails were stolen hasnt been confirmed.
It was concerning last week that Donald Trump changed the Republican platform to become what some experts would regard as pro-Russian, Mook said.
Clinton is within just days of her long-held ambition to become the partys official presidential nominee.
After the DNC released a slightly trimmed list of superdelegates those are the party officials who can back any candidate it now takes 2,382 delegates to formally clinch the nomination. Clinton has 2,814 when including superdelegates, according to an Associated Press count. Sanders has 1,893.
Sanders has endorsed Clinton, but his delegates are pushing for a state-by-state tally. The state-by-state roll call is scheduled for Tuesday.
Also Sunday, Kaine and his wife, Anne Holton, were back at their longtime church in Richmond, Virginia, a day after he made his campaign debut with Clinton.
Kaine, a former choir member at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, sang a solo during Communion. He later told reporters outside the church: We needed some prayers today and we got some prayers, and we got some support and it really feels good.

NOCHIXTLN, Mexico The air in this small town in Oaxaca, an impoverished and mostly indigenous state in Mexico"s rural south, is heavy with the smell of burning tires. The highway, a strategic one that leads traffic from the neighboring state of Puebla to state capital Oaxaca de Jurez, is blocked on all sides with heaps of dirt, burned out carcasses of cars, buses and trailers, pieces of wood and rocks. Dozens of trailers stand in line just before the overpass, waiting for the moment they might pass.
But they won"t anytime soon. Nochixtln is reeling from Sunday"s disastrous confrontation between members and sympathizers of a the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE), a dissident teachers" union, and law enforcement. State and federal policemen, some 800 in total, swooped in to clear the highway of a blockade, but fired live ammunition into a rawdy crowd of protesters armed only with sticks, stones and molotov cocktails.
By the end of the day, at least six lay dead, more than a hundred were wounded, the municipal palace and the local station of the federal police set on fire. And the blockade is still there.
Dozens of protesters are still keeping watch at the overpass where the confrontation took place. They painted anti-government slogans on the walls and prepared crates with bottles and wraps, ready to become molotov cocktails should the policemen come back.
They were shooting at us as if we were animals, William Velzquez, a 34-year old teacher, told FNL. He picked up a large stick. These are the only weapons we have. We don"t carry guns. They were firing on unarmed civilians.
Protesters and the Mexican government have been trading blame over who was responsible for Sunday"s clashes, with federal and state authorities claiming live ammo was used after unspecified "radical groups" attacked policemen, after the dislodging of the protesters initially happened peacefully.
The authorities changed their version of the events several times, with interior secretary Miguel ngel Osorio Chong initially claiming the police weren"t carrying arms. Federal police chief Enrique Galindo later admitted his men did indeed carry guns. On Monday, Oaxaca governor Gabino Cu said in a press conference that the policemen adhered strictly to protocol and that force was used "rationally" and with "due respect to human rights".
But union members and its sympathizers deny any kind of radicals or infiltrators being present and say the police opened fire on unarmed civilians. During a visit to the scene of the confrontation on Monday, protesters showed FNL dozens of bullet casings of different calibres, which they said were found in places where the police was shooting at them.
One elderly man working at the Nochixtln municipal graveyard told FNL that, during the attempt to dislodge the protesters, policemen had run into the graveyard, forced him to the ground and stole his wallet while threatening to kill him if he did not comply.
They took all my money and started shooting at people just outside the graveyard, he said, asking not to be named out of fear for his safety. He showed FNL several bullet casings at the graveyard, at the spot he said the policemen were shooting from.
From where I could see, the police began to shoot without provocation, he added.
At the local hospital in Nochixtln, one employee confirmed to FNL to have treated at least 40 wounded and said four people had come in with bullet wounds, some of them in the head and throat, and that four people had died at the clinic while another person had died on the way to another. He asked to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the situation.
Sunday"s clashes took place in the context of larger protests organized by the CNTE and its sympathizers in the wake of the arrest of Rubn Nuez, who heads Section 22, the state chapter of the union in Oaxaca, which is widely seen as the most powerful section of the union. Nuez was arrested June12th on money laundering charges, but members of the union say he is a political prisoner due to the opposition of the union against sweeping education reforms introduced by president Enrique Pea Nieto in 2013.
The CNTE is vehemently opposed against the reforms, which, among others, introduce mandatory testing for all teachers. The union claims the tests, which will allow the government to fire teachers who fail them, are unfair to teachers in rural areas where schools have less resources. The Mexican government says the reforms are necessary to improve the quality of nationwide education, which ranks an absymal last among members of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
Interior secretary Miguel ngel Osorio Chong announced on Tuesday that the federal government invited the CNTE to the table to discuss recent events and attempt some kind of dialogue. But after last weekend"s violence, some believe a dialogue will be very difficult, especially with Section 22-leader Nuez in jail.
We want to sit down and talk with the government, Marisela Cruz, a teacher from Nochixtln, told FNL. But they have to stop using violence against us. The bloodshed must end.

Freddie Roach reacts to Terence Crawford vs Viktor Postol. Talks Pacquaio vs Crawford!
Ryota Murata, Lenny Zappavigna, and more picked up wins on tonight"s Crawford-Postol card.
The action is underway at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, as the Crawford-Postol prelim bouts have concluded, and we are just under 40 minutes away from the main PPV broadcast.
Japanese middleweight prospect and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Ryota Murata stormed through George "Comanche Boy" Tahdooahnippah in the final preliminary fight of the evening, putting him away at 1:52 of the first round. Murata (11-0, 8 KO) crushed Tahdooahnippah (34-3-3, 24 KO) with a left hook to the body, a thunderous shot that put the Oklahoman on his knees. Tahdooahnippah took a count of eight, but once the fight resumed, Murata was all over him, bombing away in the corner until referee Benjy Esteves Jr stopped the fight.
Australias Lenny Zappavigna stopped Chinas IK Yang in the sixth round of a 143-pound catchweight bout, which brought the action expected. Not a super great, "go out of your way to watch it" sort of fight, but if you tuned in, this one was the highlight of the prelims. Zappavigna (35-2, 25 KO) hurt Yang (19-2, 14 KO) in the fourth round, but Yang came back nicely in that one, though Zappavigna took over again in the fifth. In the sixth, the Aussie started fast, landing a clubbing shot that hurt Yang. Zappavigna followed him into the corner, still throwing shots, and referee Vic Drakulich called a stop to the fight.
Detroit welterweight Edward Williams pretty easily handled Texan Christon Edwards, winning by unanimous decision over six rounds. Scores were 59-55, 59-55, and 58-56, the latter probably a round generous to Edwards (6-2, 3 KO). Williams (12-1-1, 4 KO) didnt show much power, but his length and height were enough to give Edwards trouble, as the younger man just couldnt close the gap.
Ukrainian middleweight Stanyslav Skorokhod was able to largely dominate his fight against a game Hakim Bryant, winning on unanimous scores of 59-53, 60-52, and 60-52. BLH had it 59-53 for Skorokhod, who scored two knockdowns in the opening round, and as the fight wore on and Bryant (6-1, 4 KO) clearly wasnt going to just go away, Skorokhod (11-1, 8 KO) just outboxed him, cruising (relatively speaking) to victory.
Omaha light heavyweight Steve Nelson improved to 3-0 (3 KO) with a fourth round stoppage of El Pasos Tim Meek (5-3-1, 3 KO), when Meeks corner waved the flag, and rightly so. Meek was dropped hard late in the first round, cut pretty badly in the third, and Nelson was hunting for the stoppage. The stoppage itself was odd, as a Nevada commission official ran into and then halfway across the ring to get referee Vic Drakulichs attention.
