Leon Panetta shouted down by anti-war protesters at Democratic convention

Leon Panetta on ISIL, Obama"s leadership

Democratic delegates drowned out the former defense secretary Leon Panetta with a chant of no more war on Wednesday night, prompting convention organisers to turn the lights out in their section of the Wells Fargo arena and the protesters to light it themselves using cellphones.

The former CIA director was on stage to show his support for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. In this election, there is only one candidate for president who has the experience, temperament and judgment to be commander-in-chief, and that is Hillary Clinton, he said.

Panetta credited Clinton with supporting the decision to go after Osama bin Laden Hillary was clear: we have to go after Bin Laden and said she was determined to defeat Isis, al-Qaida, Boko Haram, al-Shabaab, terrorists who pervert the teachings of Islam to kill innocent people.

He added: Meanwhile, Donald Trump says he gets his foreign policy experience from watching TV and running the Miss Universe pageant. If only it were funny. It is deadly serious. Donald Trump asks our troops to commit war crimes, endorses torture, spurns allies from Europe to Asia, suggests more countries to have nuclear weapons, and praises dictators from Saddam Hussein to Vladimir Putin.

But when Panetta referred to Trumps call for a Russian hack on Clintons emails, he was interrupted by the chants, which were temporarily drowned out when Panetta said: Donald Trump cannot become commander-in-chief.

He added: We cannot put an erratic finger on our nuclear weapons, he says. This is no time to roll the dice and gamble. The chant changed to USA! USA!

When Panetta left the stage the DNC organisers turned the lights back on for the section that was chanting, many of whom appeared to come from Oregon.

Bernie Supporter Told Debbie Wasserman Schultz to "F*ck Off" Along With "Your b***h" Hillary in Email

WikiLeaks DNC Emails Forcing Debbie Wasserman Schultz to Resign. Clinton Only 1.9 Above Donald Trump

Even the lesser-known emails in the recent Wikileaks dump of hacked DNC emails contain fascinating details. For example, did you know that if you sent an interesting enough reply to a presidential campaigns email blast, they actually read it and pass it around? And did you know that despite having won the state, there are at least two Tennesseeans who are really not crazy about Hillary Clinton?

The DNC got at least two such replies to an email blast entitled Join me in Knoxville June 3rd!, the first being a profane, if misspelled, kiss-off from Knoxville-based executive Michael Vukmir to outgoing DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and her b***h Hilary:

I wouldnt join the DNC in Knoxville unless Debbie steps down along with Hilary. You have lost every inch of my support so f**k off Debbie along with your b***h Hilary.

FEEL THE Bern b*****s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike

Another response to the same email was passed around by DNC staff as well:

DWS, youre almost as corrupt as $hillary Clinton. Ive already left the Democratic partyafter 32 years. Lots of us have. And you and your direction for the Democratic party are a large reason why. HRC is the other reason.

Its comingthe shock you will feel when MILLIONS of us wont vote for ShillaryPERIOD.

f**k you.

The DNC staffers internal response to both emails was the same: Great start!

Bill O"Reilly Defends Controversial White House Slave Comments

Jordan Speaks Out, Michelle Obama, Bill O Reilly, KRS One Defends Bamabatta, Freddie Gray

Transcript for Bill O"Reilly Defends Controversial White House Slave Comments

We move on to that bill O"Reilly backlash under fire for saying after michelle Obama"s speech that the slaves were well fed in decent lodgings. He is responding now and linsey Davis has the latest. Reporter: Even though he says smear merchants are distoring his words last night bill O"Reilly offered more details to support his incendiary comments that the slaves who bill the white house were well fed and had decent accommodations. This morning, Fox News host bill O"Reilly is doubling down on his controversial fact checking of the first lady"s dnc speech Monday night after Michelle Obama pointed out the historical significance of being the first black family to live in the white house. I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves. And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent black young women playing with their dogs on the white house lawn. Reporter: On "The O"Reilly fact"s" tip of the day he angered some by describing what he called historical context. Slaves that worked there were well fed and had decent lodgings provided by the government. Reporter: He then added further fuel to the fire with this commentary. So Michelle Obama is essentially correct in citing slaves as builders of the white house but there were others working as well. Reporter: Outrage was swift. Audra McDonald had these stark pictures with captions like dear bill O"Reilly, live in this. Wear these. And take a ride on this, maybe now you"ll get why people are having a hard time with your description of the slaves" am San diegos. TV producer and writer Shonda rhimes tweeted, the idiocy never ceases to amaze me. Try slavery, bill. Let us know how good the food is while you wear chains. Leave it to Fox News to provide a fair and balanced view of slavery. More vicious attacks from the far left media deceivers. Reporter: Last night O"Reilly elaborated on his point and lashed out at critics. In order to keep slaves and free laborers strong, Washington"s administration provided meat, bread and other staple, also decent lodging on the grounds of the new presidential building. That is a fact. Not a justification, not a defense of slavery. Just a fact. Anyone who implies a soft on slavery message is beneath contempt. The author who wrote the book "The invisibles untold to story of african-americans in the white house" has weighed in on all of this saying we don"t know the quality of the food or housing because there are no historical records that support that judgment. What is undeniable is that the slaves were not given a choice on what they ate or where they lived and my question is really. Is this something that needs to be debated at all? We are after all talking about slaves. George and robin. It"s just surreal that we"re even talking about it.

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain defeated UEFA Champions League victors Real Madrid 3-1 Wednesday night at Ohio Stadium in an international exhibition for the 2016 International Champions Cup.

In front of a crowd of 86,641 diverse supportersthe largest soccer crowd in Ohio history PSG claimed three points in the competition behind a goal from Jonathon Ikone, and a brace from substitute Thomas Meunier.

Overall, we saw two teams that need to keep working, work on things this preseason, players getting more minutes, PSG head coach Unai Emery said after the match. I think today, for us, was about work. Obviously we want to win and we play to win, but we will continue working, and focus on growing things.

The last time these two sides met was on November 3, 2015 in a UEFA Champions League group stage match, with Real Madrid winning at home 1-0. But this time, the French Ligue 1 champions struck first early.

In the 2nd minute, PSGs Jonathan Ikone carried the ball from 25 yards out towards the Real Madrid penalty area, and following a series of deflections, found himself one-on-one with Francisco Casilla. The defender calmly slid a shot past the goalkeeper into the bottom left corner to take the lead, scoring the fastest goal in ICC history.

The Red and Blue, the nickname of PSG, controlled the tempo and possession early in the first 45, but the Champions League winners had chances to equalize. Midfielder Mateo Kovacic curled a shot on net in the 18th minute that nipped the fingertips of a diving Kvin Trapp, rattled the right woodwork and bounced back to a waiting Trapp.

PSG defender Thiago Silva exited the match in the 11th minute with a leg injury, making way for the young Thomas Meunier. The Belgian international trotted around the pitch for over 20 minutes with his team in the lead, and in the 35th minute, he made his presence known.

Meunier received a deflected ball at his feet at the top of the 18 yard line, and fired a rising rocket into the left, upper-90 of the goal to double his sides lead. And five minutes later, the substitute netted his second goal of the night with an easy finish to put PSG up 3-0 late in the half.

Real Madrid, however, would cut the lead to two just before the break when the Red and Blues Serge Aurier was called for a handball in the box, awarding Real Madrid a penalty. Captain Marcelo stepped up to the spot, and powered it home.

After a flurry of substitutions from both sides at halftime, the second act of this international exhibition began with a sort of back-and-forth type of feeling, as shots peppered off the gloves of both Casilla and Trapp. Real Madrid held more urgency throughout the second half, controlling over 58 percent of the possession and outshooting the French side 16-12 overall, but could not recover from the first half deficit.

This was our first match after only ten days of training, so ultimately, this it normal, this is to be expected, Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane said in the post-match press conference. Overall, Im happy with everyone, with all the players.

PSGwinner of the 2015 International Champions Cuphave now won its last three matches in the competition, dating back to July 29, 2015.

This is a great club, and a club looking to continue writing its history, Emery said. This club has the intent to continue being one of the great teams, and fight against the top clubs in the world.

Emerys club will now meet English soccer champions Leicester City this Saturday at the StubHub Center in California, while Real Madrid gets set for a clash with English club Chelsea FC. These matches kick off at 5:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. ET, respectively.

California delegation gets rowdy during Leon Panetta"s speech

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta at DNC 2016

On the third day of the 2016 Democratic National Convention:

President Obama drew a strong contrast between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump tonight, targeting what he sees as Trump"s inability to serve as commander in chief.

Vice presidential nominee Sen. Tim Kaine used his speech to excoriate Donald Trump and lift up Clinton, offering remarks in both English and Spanish

The Wikileaks-DNC email release still looms over the convention and early in the evening the organization released voicemails harvested by hackers from the Democratic National Committee

National security was the main theme of the day, and Donald Trump took an extraordinary step ahead of the program, calling for Russia to steal Hillary Clinton"s emails.

Prosecutors drop all charges in Freddie Gray case

Trump: Freddie Gray prosecutor should prosecute herself

Prosecutors have dropped all remaining charges against the police officers in the Freddie Gray case. By dropping the case Marilyn Mosby, Baltimore"s head prosecutor, effectively ends one of the only attempts to hold law enforcement responsible for civilian deaths.

Of the six officers who were charged after Gray"s death, four had already gone to trial. Three of the officers were acquitted, and one trial ended in a hung jury.

The trials demonstrated just how challengingit is to prosecute law enforcement. It is often difficult for prosecutorsto show that police misconduct meets the high standard of wrongdoing.

Gray, who was 25, lived in Baltimore and died after suffering a spinal cord injury while in police custody. He was arrested for having an illegal knife, butthe switchblade he was carrying was later determined to be legal.

Gray"s death was ruled a homicidealthough apparently, no onekilled him.
