When Tennessee plays Vanderbilt on Saturday, the Volunteers will be wearing special helmet stickers honoringa former standout.
Earlier this week it was announced that Kansas City Chiefs safetyEric Berry, who played at Tennessee from 2007-09 and won the 2009 Jim Thorpe Award honoring the nations top defensive back, was out for the season after a mass was found in his chest. Hes undergoing tests for possible lymphoma.
Vols coach Butch Jones tweeted a photoof the sticker before the game. Its a red arrowhead with the message 29 Strong VFL. Berry wears No. 29 and VFL stands forVol For Life.

Two of Berrys brothers,Evan and Elliott, are freshmen on theteam.
