To keep their season alive, the Raptors are counting on a home-court advantage that saved them before.
LeBron James and the Cavaliersmoved within one win of their second straight NBA Finals on Wednesday night by routing Toronto 116-78 in Game 5, the fourth lopsided game in a series where both teams have struggled mightily on the road.
Paced by the resurgent Kevin Love with 25 points, and 23 apiece from James and Kyrie Irving, the Cavs built a 43-point lead in the second half and demolished the Raptors. Toronto lost three games in Cleveland"s Quicken Loans Arena by a combined 88 points.
Fortunately, the Raptors are back home in front of their own frenzied fans and will host Game 6 on Friday night in Air Canada Centre, where the Cavs are 0-4 this season and lost Games 3 and 4 in this series.
After going 32-9 at home during the regular season, Toronto is 8-2 on its floor in the playoffs, and pulled off a Game 7 wins over Indiana and Miami.
The Raptors need it to be home sweet home one more time.
"We"ve got to play the same way we played the two home games we"ve had so far," Raptors guard Kyle Lowry said Thursday, a day after he was hounded by Cleveland"s guards and scored just 13 on 5 of 12 shooting. "That"s all we can do. Can"t worry about the road. We might not get a chance to go back on the road if we don"t play the right way tomorrow."
Toronto was overmatched from the opening tap in Game 5, falling behind by 18 after one quarter, 31 at halftime and finishing with 18 turnovers, five by Lowry.
"They"re drastically bad when you"ve got LeBron coming at you," Lowry said.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors - Game 6 - 1st Qtr Highlights | May 27, 2016 | NBA Playoffs
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- LeBron James amassed 33 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, three blocks and one steal in leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 113-87 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The Cavs won the Eastern Conference final, 4-2.
The game was televised by ESPN.
King"s court: There was nothing complicated about what happened Friday night at Air Canada Centre. LeBron decided the series needed to end, so it ended.
Special accomplishment: The Cavs advanced to the NBA Finals for the second consecutive season, each with LeBron at the controls.
Incredibly special accomplishment: LeBron"s teams have reached the NBA Finals in six consecutive seasons. He did so with the Miami Heat in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
ESPN reporter Doris Burke spoke with LeBron on the court after the game.
Burke: "You know how hard it is to go to one Finals, and everything that goes into it. You will go to your sixth straight. Of what are you most proud?""
LeBron: "I don"t know, Doris. I"ve heard all the questions, and that right there is a stumper.""
LeBron will be the eighth player in NBA history to appear in six consecutive Finals. The other seven are Celtics of the 1950s and 1960s.
(If Cavs reserve James Jones plays in the Finals, it will be his fifth straight. He was a member of the Heat in 2011 but did not play against Dallas.)
LeBron will play in his seventh Finals overall. His first was with the Cavs in 2007.
LeBron will join Dennis Rodman as the only players with at least three NBA Finals appearances for two franchises (Rodman: Detroit, Chicago).
Difficult to fathom: In order to get to six straight Finals, LeBron"s teams have needed to win 18 consecutive Eastern Conference series. Eighteen.
Let it marinate.
Difficult to fathom, Part II: On Friday, LeBron secured at least one road victory in 25 consecutive series -- the longest such streak in NBA history. He broke a tie with Michael Jordan.
In the past two postseasons, LeBron has clinched a total of five series on the road.
Numbers game: LeBron has scored 5,364 points in the playoffs. Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Bill Walton scored 6,215 points in the regular season.
Locking it down: LeBron scored 30+ for the first time in 14 games this postseason and, according to Burke, the 81st time in his career.
Burke: "You said you would step forward and have a game when you needed to. Why was it tonight?""
As Burke asked the question, plenty of fans remaining in the arena chanted: "Let"s go, Rap-tors! Let"s go, Rap-tors!""
LeBron: "First of all ... do you hear this?""
Burke: "I know. They"re incredible.""
LeBron: "Unbelievable respect, much respect, to these fans and to this country. This is unbelievable. I"ve never been a part of something like this in my 13-year career. This is special. They really appreciate what their team did.
"To get back to your question, Doris: I knew this was going to be a tough game coming into this building, and I just had to bring my game. I had to be in attack mode from the beginning, trust my shot. And I knew once my shot started going that I could start getting my teammates involved, and they were able to carry me down the stretch.""
LeBron scored 21 in the first half, during which he played 23:23. He finished 13-of-22 from the field in 40:57.
Happy to help: Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving amassed 30 points, nine assists and three steals. Cavs big Kevin Love had 20 points, 12 rebounds and four assists.
Irving"s long scoop-pass to Love for a transition 3-pointer was one of many highlights for Cleveland.
The Cavs are 6-0 in this postseason when LeBron, Irving and Love each score 20+.
Don"t forget about me: Cavs shooting guard J.R. Smith was 5-of-9 from the field, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range, for 15 points in 36 minutes. He posted a +22.
The Cavs shot 17-of-31 from beyond the arc; the Raptors, 8-of-25.
Droppin" dimes, droppin" dimes: When ESPN showed LeBron running into the locker room after the trophy presentation, on-site anchor John Buccigross said: "And you wonder why Kevin Love didn"t opt out and go somewhere else. This is why. Because when you hang around that dude, you get to the Finals. It helps your commercials, it helps your everything, because you"re always in the spotlight.""
More from Buccigross: "LeBron"s energy level is mesmerizing to watch. His fitness is off the charts. Like Michael when he played, he just does not get tired.""
Skip to my T-Lue: The Cavs" Tyronn Lue is 12-2 in his first postseason as an NBA head coach. He replaced David Blatt on Jan. 22 and went 27-14 in the regular season.
Actress Jennifer Espositos gluten-free empire is crumbling, her business partners allege.
The former Blue Bloods star and ex-wife of Bradley Cooper is embroiled in a nasty food fight with her investors including her new husband who have filed a $43 million lawsuit against her. Esposito agreed to a restraining order against bad-mouthing them, The Post has learned.
While Espositos Jennifers Way bakery in the East Village remains open, online ordering of gluten-free bagels, cookies and rolls has stalled after its site was hijacked and redirected to the actresss personal blog, the lawsuit alleges.
Esposito has instilled and promoted a groundless and downright false sense of fear that the very same products with the same recipes, coming from the same facility, that she once stood behind, are now unsafe to consume, legal papers charge.
For her part, Esposito contends she was pushed out of her own company.
The 43-year-old actress opened Jennifers Way bakery on East 10th Street in 2012 after a diagnosis of celiac disease, an intolerance for wheat and other products with gluten.
The outspoken Esposito, who was raised on Staten Island, blasted CBS in 2012 after she was cut from Blue Bloods. Esposito said she needed a limited schedule because of her illness and CBS said it had to put her Jackie Curtola character on an indefinite leave.
Esposito credited her husband, British model Louis Dowler, for his financial and emotional support in the bakery business. They were married in November 2014.
Esposito teamed up with investors Lawrence Wenner and David Drake in 2014 to expand the business with a commercial plant in Queens to bake and ship orders. The retail shop sold products made on site.

Wenner and Drake sank $250,000 each into the business and then loaned $1 million to the enterprise, court papers say.
Esposito was supposed to transfer ownership of the East Village bakery to the newly formed company, Jennifers Way Inc., which she failed to do, court papers allege.
The investors contend Esposito was difficult to work with, in one instance nixing the use of a corn-based ingredient because she personally was allergic to corn, and not because it posed any sort of danger to those suffering from celiac disease.
The online business struggled financially and Wenner and Drake allege they could not take out a needed loan because Esposito refused to cooperate.
The battle turned bitter last month when Esposito warned her Facebook followers that the Jennifers Way commercial operation was NOT under my control. Therefore anything from there I do NOT stand behind. One fan wrote that she immediately tossed $50 worth of muffins and bagels.
Both sides are due in court in Suffolk County March 16.
There will be more legal action for Esposito, who said in court papers that she filed for divorce from Dowler. Among the grounds for divorce is cruel and inhuman treatment.
Like he did during the short-lived marriage to me, Dowler now seems to be aligning himself with individuals he thinks could best earn him money, she wrote in an affidavit.
The accusations come only months after the couple purchased a $1.1 million home in East Hampton late last year.
Espositos lawyer called the case baseless and said the actress was misled by her investors, and has done nothing wrong to warrant a lawsuit.
Golden State Warriors vs Oklahoma City Thunder - Game 3 - Full Highlights | 2016 NBA Playoffs
BURLINGTON, Mass., May 27, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Avid (Nasdaq: AVID) today announced that NBA Western Conference finalists and 2015 NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors, have invested in the Avid MediaCentral Platform to power their fast-turnaround, multiplatform media operations. By embracing Avid Everywhere, the teams production staff are able to collaborate from everywhere to efficiently produce Emmy Award-nominated content to support the Oakland, California-based team as it battles the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference finals.
The Warriors media production arm, Warriors Studio, produces a wide range of content including commercials, online video content for warriors.com and social media platforms, and video content for in-stadium entertainment at Oracle Arena. Operating from three separate locations, reporting from away games, managing huge volumes of footage, and creating content for multiple distribution platforms presented significant challenges to the team. Senior Executive Producer Paul Hodges turned to Avid based on his experience using Avid solutions while working for MLBs San Francisco Giants.
With the MediaCentral Platform, everything is centralized so multiple editors can work on the same content for different platforms, while everything is automatically transcoded in the background, said Hodges. We can now hire freelance editors even if theyre 300 miles away, and production staff on the road can quickly access content in our archives remotely. Were a small studio doing the work of a huge facility with Avid as our backbone.
With their new workflow powered by the MediaCentral Platform, and integrated with assistance from Cutting Edge audio and video group, the Golden State Warriors have successfully elevated the quality of their productions, and in turn, the size of their audience. The production team was recently nominated for four Emmy Awards, while NBA TV aired one of its recent shows internationally, reaching an audience of 19.1 million subscribers.
Avid Everywhere addresses the critical challenges that sports teams like the Golden State Warriors face, enabling production teams in remote locations to collaborate as if theyre in the same studio, and simplifying the process of creating content for multiple platforms, said Jeff Rosica, senior vice president, chief sales & marketing officer, Avid. With the MediaCentral Platform, the team at Warriors Studio is able to create, manage and distribute world-class content from their modest facilities to support the Warriors as they vie for a place in the NBA Finals.
Warriors Studios workflow consists of Avid Artist, Media and Storage Suite solutions. The production team uses Media | Director to efficiently ingest content from multiple cameras, while Avid Airspeed is the primary ingest point for any tape-based and over-the-air media. Avid Interplay | MAM media asset management system is used to add metadata and tag content, making it easy to browse, retrieve and repurpose. According to Hodges, sports teams dont have the luxury of archiving content as everything remains relevant, making metadata and tagging capabilities critical for retrieving content.
Avid Media Composer | Cloud enables editors to work remotely from different locations, while Avid shared storage enables multiple editors to work on the same pool of content for different distribution platforms, including Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, and the Warriors website. In future, Hodges plans to use Media | Distribute to automate the process of preparing and delivering content to multiple platforms. The team also uses the industry-standard Avid Pro Tools digital audio software for sound editing and mixing.

The Tampa Bay Lightning know they let one get away.
Given a chance to close out the Eastern Conference Finals with a win at home against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 6, the Bolts stumbled through 40 minutes of inexplicably dispassionate hockey before finally getting engaged during a raucous third period. By that point, though, it was too late. The Pens made off with a 52 victory, setting up tonight"s Game 7 at Consol Energy Center (8:00 ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVAS). The winner moves on to face the San Jose Sharks in the Stanley Cup Final.
"We had a great chance," Tampa Bay forward Brian Boyle said of his team"s Game 6 letdown. "We kind of tiptoed around it. We weren"t aggressive. We weren"t on top of it. We weren"t skating."
It"s the same trap they fell into last spring when they took a 3-2 lead over the Rangers in Game 5 of the ECF but couldn"t close the deal in Game 6 at home. They managed to take Game 7 on the road, though. And the memory of how that worked could get them over the hump this year as well.
"I definitely think there"s a calmness within our group and how we approach games like these," said Anton Stralman, who is 7-0 in career Game 7s. "Just like in Game 5, whenwe got hit by adversity [an early 2-0 deficit], we just kept going and believed in our system and the way we play. That"s what we did in New York in those two games (last spring), 5 and 7 there. We just went in. We believed in ourselves. We played to our structure and to our strength, and we pulled off two really, really good games.
"We know we have it in us. It"s just a matter of finding that emotion and that energy."
That energy was absent early in Game 6, when the Pens outshot the Bolts, 14-4. Finding it, and finding it quickly, will be a key for both teams.
Here"s what else to watch for:
Fascinating to hear how the Lightning respond when asked about the efforts of young goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy.
He"s been giving us a chance to win every time he"s been in, said Stralman.
If he plays the same way he has been playing so far, he"s going to give us a chance to win, said forward Valtteri Filppula.
It"s a time-worn hockey compliment. The gist being, he"s doing his job well enough, and really, that"s all you can ask of your netminder.
Except it"s not. Especially not in Game 7.
Vasilevskiy has been good to this point, but he"s also allowed at least three goals in each of the past five games. None of them were glaringly soft, and in Games 2 and 3, when his defense all but deserted him, he was pretty special.
But he still lost both of those games. And as a general rule, expecting the offense to crank out at least four goals in reply is an iffy proposition.
He has to be better tonight. Like, Ben Bishop better.
Vasilevskiy hasn"t yet stolen a game. But it feels like that"s what the Lightning might need from him tonight.
The Penguins are looking for something different from Matt Murray. A calm, focused performance might be all they need to get over this hurdle. Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan expects him to deliver.
"He has a maturity beyond his years," Sullivan said on Wednesday. "He has a calming influence. He has ... an ability to stay in the moment, not allow any of the adversities or the challenges that the game presents to affect his mindset. If one goes in that he thinks he should have had, he just refocuses and he plays. It"s a real important attribute to have as an athlete, but probably most importantly as a goaltender. And he has it at such a young age."
The Lightning have to make better decisions with the puck in Game 7. They were way too fast and loose with it in Game 6, giving it away 17 times (10 more than the Pens) and having it stripped from their possession another eight times. And that"s probably a conservative countPatric Hornqvist"s takeaway that led to Sidney Crosby"s goal wasn"t acknowledged by league scorers.
Part of that is better protection, keeping the body between the puck and the defender. But a larger issue was their decision-making under pressure. The Pens were hard on the puck in Game 6, forcing decisions to be made under duress. That led to a string of forced errors and extended possession time for Pittsburgh.
The Bolts couldn"t muster up the poise they needed under pressure. The team that does that the best tonight is likely to emerge as the winner.
GALLERY: NHL"s Greatest Game 7s
Seems obvious, but both teams will need their best players to be their best players if they"re going to win this one.
That"s no knock on support staffers like Tampa Bay"s Ryan Callahan or Pittsburgh"s Bryan Rust, who have found ways to impact games despite lesser roles and could easily do something special to grab the spotlight tonight. But games like this tend to be defined by what the big boys do ... or don"t do.
The Pens" top guns already delivered once in a must-win Game 6. Crosby and Evgeni Malkin assisted on Phil Kessel"s first-period goal. Crosby later scored on a Jerome Bettis Special, driving through three defenders before potting one of the most memorable markers of the postseason. Kris Letang stayed out of the box, tightened up on his defensive zone coverage and chipped in with a goal as well. That"s a level they"ll need to reach again.
Tyler Johnson, Nikita Kucherov and Jonathan Drouin have been brilliant at times in this series, but they were pushed to the sidelines in that Game 6 loss. More"s expected of them tonight.
"We"ve had 100 games of dress rehearsal for this one," coach Jon Cooper said. "Let"s just give it our best shot."
What you"ve seen is what you"ll get from the Lightning. Don"t expect any last-minute reinforcements from injured reserve.
In other words: no Steven Stamkos in Game 7.
"Nothing"s changed as far as our end," said Cooper. "So that"s all I"ve got for that."
UPDATE: Not so fast, Coop. Stamkos took the ice for the pre-game warmup and appears to be available for Game 7. No telling what impact he can have after sitting out nearly two full months, but just getting the captain in the lineup is a massive emotional boost for the Bolts.
Crosby has a chance to tie an unbreakable mark in Game 7. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Hall of Famer Mike Bossy is the only player to record four game-winners in a single series. The Islanders sniper extraordinaire delivered the daggers in the 1983 conference finals against the Boston Bruins. Crosby so far has clinched Games 2, 3 and 6 for the Penguins. No one should be surprised if he finds a way to seal the deal again one more time.
