Lee DOT said it typically handles the removal of one to two dead alligators in storm drain infrastructure annually.
Lee County DOT Director Randy Cerchie, said: This was an abnormally large gator, but removal is part of what we do.
The catch basin was about four feet wide at the point where the gator was found; the gator was about three feet below the ground. Pipes leading into the catch basin area were about 14-inches by 24-inches.
He added: We dont usually see gators that big because our pipes are not that big.

After a share take over from Microsoft, LinkedIn is taking a step back. LinkedIn is known for being the most used social network site for job applicants and human resource. When the company agreed to the acquisition, it publicly has given up.
The reason being is that LinkedIn has not even met its beginning of the year share price as of yet. LinkedIn stocks were beginning to look bleak. When Microsoft stepped in, it solves a problem for the tech company. According to Forbes, when LinkedIn saw its shares plummet, it has experienced its lowest of lows. It was not internal turmoil or instability in the company and its market that drove LinkedIn to give up. In fact, Reid Hoffman made sure the company is stable and consistent in its main goal. It may have generated a strong niche for job seekers and career advancement.
The problem lies in the sales report. It only reported a 34% increase in fourth quarter sales as its online ad sales grew 20%, or roughly half its previous rate of growth. These are different numbers compared to the numbers the company has enjoyed in the previous years. It was experiencing a slow decline. It then ripped off Hoffman"s net worth.
Now, after a four month stay in the stock market lows, LinkedIn is back at around $200 from $100. Microsoft"s takeover shows investors were wrong to give up on LinkedIn. LinkedIn"s failure stemmed from issuing soft earnings and guidance into a panicking market. This prompts investors to look for stability and growth in long term value.
So Microsoft is now buying LinkedIn shares for $26.2 billion, according to CNBC. LinkedIn shares have since then jumped 47%.

Tuesday is Flag Day. I will always remember Flag Day for that monster thunderstorm back in 1989. The skies darkened around 3:30 that afternoon. A downburst in Chevy Chase and northwest DC downed trees and power lines. Some homes in Northwest and Chevy Chase were without power for three weeks. As strong as those winds were that day what caused massive trees to be uprooted was the wet May. We received over seven inches of rain in May of 1989. Officially 7.77 of rain fell at National. (We had almost 6 this past May.) Ironically that was only good enough for sixth place all time. May of 2008, now in third place with over ten inches of rain, actually pushed May 1989 down into seventh place.
Winds in excess of 80 mph (Hurricane force winds are 74 mph and up) had no trouble uprooting mature trees in Chevy Chase and Northwest. One estimate calculated that nearly ten percent of all mature trees in a certain area of Northwest were taken down by the downburst. Damage was estimated at over 28 million dollars. We tracked the storm with our live Doppler radar, yes Channel 9 had live Doppler back then, showing the areas and neighborhoods that would be hit the hardest from the winds. Many residents thought the damage was from a tornado. Downburst winds can leave a circular pattern of damage as the winds spread out. Would the Flag Day thunderstorm uprooted as many trees without that wet May ? No, but it still was a severe storm that would have at the very least taken some trees down and many more tree limbs.
According to The Fly, linkedIn (NYSE: LNKD) received a Hold rating and a $196 price target from Jefferies analyst Brian Pitz yesterday. The companys shares closed yesterday at $192.21.
Pitz noted, Earlier today Microsoft announced that it is acquiring LinkedIn for $196/sh in cash. We do not see any other bidders stepping up and raising the deal price at this time. We continue to believe that M&A will be a key theme in the Internet space over the course of 16.
According to TipRanks.com, Pitz is a top 100 analyst with an average return of 12.4% and a 67.5% success rate. Pitz covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Activision Blizzard, Active Network Inc, and Electronic Arts.
Currently, the analyst consensus on LinkedIn is Moderate Buy and the average price target is $175.64, representing a -8.6% downside
. In a report issued on June 6, MKM Partners also reiterated a Hold rating on the stock with a $130 price target.
The company has a one year high of $258.39 and a one year low of $98.25. Currently, LinkedIn has an average volume of 2.68M.
Unlike Jefferies` latest rating, based on the recent corporate insider activity of 110 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. Last month, Jeff Weiner, a the CEO of LNKD sold 3,240 shares for a total of $415,206.

Not quite endings, but weird stuff / Puzzles not figured out yet
This happens in the VHS portion of the demo its creepy. See her? That same ghost girl appears a couple other times. You can also find a Ghost girl in 3 different parts when you go back in time with the VHR. To trigger that you need to walk slowly behind the guy when Andre disappears, she appears completely random in one of the three places, The first one is up the stairs, the second is in the doll Room, and the third one is exactly when you go downstairs. That same girl ghost also appears outside.
Theres a lockpick near the microwave in the VHS portion of the demo. It unlocks a small drawer in the kitchen that provides an axe in the present-day though no one can figure out what exactly it does. Video here.
The axe can be used to break boxes on the second level of the house, and boxes near the telephone too. The only mannequin that can be destroyed is the one near the phone; the ones on the second level are seemingly invulnerable. Why?
Try playing the piano. You know, for kicks.
The photo near the phone has a caption that reads, Are they watching us from that helicopter when you turn it over. What does it mean?
Observation: It doesnt seem like items obtained in one time period will remain in your inventory in another. Are we wrong?
Observation: A number of people think the person on the other end of the phone call is none other than Ada Wong what do you think?
Observation: If you answer the phone, then manage to finnagle yourself down the stairs without getting piched in the head by the hillbilly, then the 3 mannequins near the wall that were originally facing away from the wall are now all facing towards the wall. probably insignificant? (Thanks, Mike!)
Observation: You can stop the VHS recording through the pause menu. Doing so blocks you from getting the back door key.
Its themannequin finger thats really bugging us.
