A FLORIDA high school has crowned its first ever gay couple as prom king and queen.

The couple, Lindsey Creel and Brie Grimes, who are in their final year at Leon High School in Tallahassee, Florida, and have been together for three years, were crowned last month.

Though they were happy to win the title, the pair is more excited about the impact their crowning will have on the LGBT community at their school.

It feels good to know some of the things weve been a part of can help others going through tough experiences, in a positive way, Grimes told the Tallahassee Democrat.

I needed someone in my life to show me that it would work out when I was first going through this years ago. But I didnt have that.

I hope that people will look at this and more will begin to think that its okay to be supportive of the LBTQ community, Creel added.

Leon often talks about change. This is a good example for younger students there.

The couple admitted that despite the support theyve received, they had both gone through difficulties during their school years. The school has had a Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) since 2001, but the climate hasnt always been entirely supportive.

History teacher Scott Brown, who advises the schools GSA, told the Tallahassee Democrat that the move to elect the couple as prom king and queen is a major step forward for the school.

It makes me feel proud to know that the majority of Leon students are open-minded and agree with todays changing mores, he said.

Leon may be a traditional school, but we can be known as progressive.

Community response to the couple has been overwhelmingly positive, with Grimes mother even taking to Instagram to support the couple in a touching post.

Brie, who cares very much about equality, feminism and having no gender lines is proud of her school and graduating class for recognising love has no gender rules, she wrote.

As Bries mother I am proud of her for choosing love, for being bold and sticking to the things she believes in even if they are different than mine and much of the world. She is a beautiful person and made a gorgeous prom queen.

Three women, three wives, three mothers, they were each living out the American dream, until they realized they were living a lie. How some womenhave to keep their secret for fear of breaking their family apart.

Eerily accurate fan fiction predicted Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston"s relationship in 2014

TAYLOR SWIFT Y TOM HIDDLESTON: LO QUE SABEMOS

It"s not very original to compare the worldwide web to a monkey banging on a typewriter, but here we are. Millions of us have been banging on keyboards for many years now and somehow, somewhere, someone predicted the current predicament some are calling "Hiddleswift" two years before it happened, and with some eerily accurate details.

I"ll recap quickly for those who haven"t been keeping up: Taylor Swift broke up with her exceptionally boring boyfriend (a rich DJ named Calvin Harris) two weeks ago. On Wednesday, a bit unkindly, the entire Twittersphere was thrust into the ice-cold shower of a Sun exclusive. The British tabloid published several photos of Swift canoodling with Tom Hiddleston on a pile of rocks near her home in Rhode Island. The pictures showed them wearingleather shoes on a beach, which was equally disturbing to some. Me, I"m just wondering who made the insane rock sculpture in the corner of the frame.

The Sun also embedded a video of the two dancing at the 2016 Met Ball, where they met three weeks before Swift and Harris" breakup. They are both terrible dancers, and Tom"s tuxedo has tails.

Even as I type, these events seem improbable. What would the world"s biggest pop star have in common with a 35-year-old man who has only recently been able to book acting jobs outside the Thor universe? Who falls in love at a dinner partysponsored by a global tech corporation? Seriously, who takes the time to build aBlair Witch-inspired craft projectin between spit-swappings?

Yet, these events aren"t only real, they were predicted. Jennifer Stanley, a fan fiction writer who posts her work on Archive of Our Own, wrotea 12,000-word piece called "Wildest Dreams" in late 2014. It accurately predicts the celebrity relationship moniker that sprung up around the Hiddleston-Swift romance ("Hiddleswift!") and depicts the pair meeting at the 2015 Met Gala. It"s the wrong year, but I"m still chilled right down to my bone. Is Taylor Swift the all-seeing eye? It"s just a coincidence.

Some highlights from the most terrifying piece of fan fiction I"ve ever read:

Taylor Swift struggles to remember watching Thor.

"But there was a flash of blue eyes somewhere in the crowd that met mine and held my gazeif only for a split second. They were all too familiar, but where had I seen those eyes before? I bit the inside of my cheek after I had glanced away, losing focus of the conversation taking place in front of me as I fished through my mind like mad to figure out where I had seen them before. Where? Where?!"

Tom Hiddleston has strange anatomy.

"A cute chuckle rumbled out from his chest."

Taylor learns a lot.

"I learned so much more about Tom that night than I could ever imagine. h**l, I even learned so much about Ancient Chinese Culture."

The rest of the fiction is NSFW, and is tagged with a "s**t" warning. (Hey mom, I"m reading s**t at work!)

The oddest thing about the story is that Stanley integrated lyrics from Swift"s song "Wildest Dreams," making the encounter with Hiddleston serve as the creative impetus for the song. Hiddleston actually looks a lot likethe guy in the music video for "Wildest Dreams," which was released last August. He"s extremely Anglican-looking, and constantly wearing linen shirts. The video is also very "Old Hollywood," and Hiddleston is considered the frontrunner to take over the role of James Bond. I don"t know what I"m saying, really, but I wouldn"t be shocked to discover that Swift has had this stunt in mind for a very long time! Is it so hard to believe that Swift reads all the fan fiction about herself, carefully selecting the best plot lines to integrate into the Grand Narrative of Swift? I believe it! Okay, that"s absurd, she"s a person.

But how do you explainStanley"s sequel to "Wildest Dreams"? In "I Know Places," Hiddleston and Swift are hanging out in "the water," when their relationship is exposed prematurely by the media. It was written in April of 2015.

The real life "Hiddleswift" even feels like fan fiction they"re both pop culture figures that young internet denizens are extremely passionate about (Hiddleston is often referred to as"The Internet"s Boyfriend") and they have ostensibly nothing to do with each other. The only place they possibly could meet is at the Met Ball Manhattan"s annual party for anyone who is famous for any reason.

I don"t know why "Hiddleswift" has happened, but I do know, by the classic laws of probability, that it was just as likely to happen as any other thing. And while that is the basic premise of fan fiction, it is the antithesis of the premise of Taylor Swift"sexpertly curated life. In all our days on this messy Earth, we will never know what is random and what is Swift.

Potential Leonardo DiCaprio Deposition in "Wolf of Wall Street" Suit Brings Objection

Director Martin Scorsese and screenwriter Terence Winter have already given depositions in a defamation lawsuit brought by a former Stratton Oakmont executive.

The parties involved in a dispute over whether Martin Scorsese"sThe Wolf of Wall Street defamed formerStratton Oakmont executive Andrew Greene are quarreling over the need to depose Leonardo DiCaprio, who played Jordan Belfort in the film.

Greene alleges that the toupee-wearing character of Nicky "Rugrat" Koskoff, played by actor P.J. Byrne, hurt his reputation and damaged him by $15 million. In October, a judge dismissed the many claims including an asserted privacy intrusion, but gave Greene a small amount of wiggle room to possibly move forward. Greene still hasn"t filed an amended complaint, but as he seeks to establish that producers including Paramount Pictures, Red Granite Pictures, DiCaprio"s Appian Way Productions and Sikelia Productions maliciously spread untruths about him, the parties have engaged in a limited amount of discovery.

According to court documents filed on Monday, Scorsese and screenwriter Terence Winter have been disposed. As for DiCaprio, Greene"s lawyer writes to the judge that the actor is "knowledgeable regarding significant issues in this case" and want him to face questioning regardless of his busy schedule.

"Plaintiff"s counsel has offered to travel to Los Angeles if necessary," attorney Aaron Goldsmith writes. "However, it should be noted that Mr. DiCaprio has made headlines in the recent weeks for making trips back and forth to New York to attend events and celebrations."

Vincent c*x, the attorney for the defendants, responds with more information about the objection to DiCaprio"s deposition. He writes in his own letter that the deposition is "unnecessary" because either Greene"s alleged depiction was part of the script (in which case, Winter could discuss) or the product of on-set improvisation (in which case, Scorsese would discuss). The lawyer notes whose deposition is not being taken.

"Plaintiff"s insistence upon taking the deposition of Mr. DiCaprio has certain earmarks of the intentional infliction of burden," he writes. "Specifically, Plaintiff is taking the deposition of Mr. DiCaprio, who did not write the screenplay or direct the film, and has elected to not take the depositions of the actor who played Nicky "Rugrat" Koskoff, and has not taken the deposition of Jordan Belfort, the author of the underlying allegedly defamatory material upon which the film is based or of Steve Madden, the money-laundering co-conspirator of Andrew Greene."

The argument that DiCapro"s deposition won"t add anything will likely be addressed Thursday at a status conference. The defendants are suggesting there could be a nefarious motive. "Discovery should not be used as an instrument of burden to coerce an outcome that is not based upon the merits of the case," writes c*x.

It should also be noted that the demand for DiCaprioto talk under oath about development of the filmis happening as federal authorities are reportedly investigating the source of money that Red Granite used to fund Wolf of Wall Street.
