Joyce Beatty"s convention dress seen as dig at Melania Trump ...

Melania Trump"s full speech at the 2016 Republican National Convention
WASHINGTON " Rep. Joyce Beatty will see those accusations that Melania Trump ripped off MichelleObama"s speech. And she"ll raise you one stylish white dress, fitted, with bell sleeves.Beatty, D-Jefferson Township, caused a bit of a "Who Wore it Best" stir Thursday night at theDemocratic National Convention by appearing to wear the same style dress that Mrs. Trump " the wifeof Republican nominee Donald Trump " wore during her speech at the Republican National Conventionin Cleveland last week.Mrs. Trump"s dress " a long-sleeve Roksanda Ilincic white frock that reportedly retails at$2,190 " was praised after her speech in Cleveland, but quickly overlooked after an out-of-workjournalist in California noticed Mrs. Trump appeared to have plagiarized full paragraphs ofMichelle Obama"s 2008 Democratic National Convention Act in her own speech.Beatty " who used her four minutes at the dais to criticize Trump as a bully and "ill-prepared"for the White House " took it one step further. She seemed to plagiarized Mrs. Trump"s dress " and drew immediate national attention for it."Let Us Now Praise the Immaculate Shade of Joyce Beatty," Elle Magazine wrote."Congresswoman Trolls Melania Trump By Wearing Her Dress To DNC," observed the Huffington Post, which called it "one of the sickest political convention burns ever.""Joyce Beatty, Ohio State Representative, Rocks "Melania Trump Dress" at DNC," wrote EssenceMagazine.Asked by WCMH (Channel 4) about the dress, Beatty " a former Ohio state representative and thefirst female Ohio Democratic House Leader in history " said her husband bought it and asked her towear it. She insisted in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that she did not see MelaniaTrump"s speech nor the dress she wore, but noted that Trump is a size zero, while she is a size10."Now it"s blowing up all over the nation that it"s the same dress as Mrs. Trump"s but I don"tknow," Beatty said to WCMH. "I just know that I used my own words when I wore the dress."Since she entered Congress in 2013, Beatty has developed something of a gift for popping up inopportune places at extremely opportune times. She is unapologetic about this, telling this newspaper last year that she feels part of her dutyto her constituents is showing them she"s on the job and involved the Washington"s innerworkings. When President Barack Obama gave his 2013 State of the Union address, Beatty had an aisle seatand greeted him as he walked across the floor. A photo of her wiping lipstick from another lawmakeroff Obama"s cheek ran on the Associated Press wire. When Attorney General Loretta Lynch " a fellow Delta Sigma Theta " had her confirmation hearing,Beatty was prominently seated with other sorority members, all wearing redDuring the Benghazi hearing, she sat directly behind Clinton while Clinton testified, occasionally pursing her lips in disapproval when Republicans questioned the former Secretary ofState.Page 2 of 2 - And when the Ohio State University football team was honored at the White House, there wasBeatty, seated prominently up front. Later that day, when the team visited the Capitol steps, shescooted herself in between two players to pose for a photo."I was thinking, "This is a good photo op," " she said, laughing.jwehrman@dispatch.com@jessicawehrman

Shannen Doherty Reveals Cancer May Have Spread, She"s Fearful of Future

Shannen Doherty on "Charmed": "Let it be"

Shannen Doherty has unveiled scary new details about her battle against breast cancer.

The 45-year-old, who was diagnosed with the disease in February 2015, revealed that her cancer may have spread in a new interview with "Entertainment Tonight."

"I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes," she said. "So for that reason, we are doing chemo, and then after chemo, I"ll do radiation."

The former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star also revealed she underwent a single mastectomy in May. While she is doing everything within her power to fight the illness, she admits certain worries nag her.

"The unknown is always the scariest part," she admitted. "Is the chemo going to work? Is the radiation going to work?" she continued. "Everything else is manageable. Pain is manageable, you know, living without a breast is manageable. It"s the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love."

Doherty praised her loved ones, who have become a crucial support system during her health scare. She recalled how husband Kurt Iswarienko was always at her side during post-chemo treatments.

"I am in bed and it is a rush to the bathroom," said. "It"s, you know, you"re throwing up every single second. After my first treatment I lost 10 pounds, instantly. You"re throwing up and the last thing you want to do is be in a car. You don"t want to be moved, you can"t eat. But my husband has to, you know, pick me up. He puts me in the car, he buckles me in, and he drives me to my oncologist and they hook me up to an IV and I get hydrated...There"s nothing going in my body, it"s all going out."

Likewise, Doherty"s mother Rosa Doherty has stood alongside her daughter every step of the way during her illness. When the star decided to shave her head and document the process via Instagram, her mother was there to assist her.

"It was just shedding and it was driving me crazy," Doherty said of her post-chemo hair loss. "It was just clumps, and I was like, "Just grab the kitchen scissors." And my mom"s like, "Wait, wait, wait." I"m just, like, "Grab it." She went and grabbed the kitchen scissors, and put it in a ponytail and she just chopped it off. And it was this cute little bob, but it wasn"t enough, you know, it was falling out."

Though her decision to post shots of her shaving her head were in part fueled by her desire to control how the manner in which her new look was presented to the public, she also did it in a show of solidarity with other individuals suffering from cancer.

"I wanted to put it out there the way it felt the best for me to put it out there," she said. "And also, if I could help one person then it makes me go, "Oh OK." It"s easier to live with having cancer if I know I"m helping at least one person."

Shamika Sanders, Entertainment Editor

Misty Copeland is now a married woman.

The barrier-breaking ballerina tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend,Olu Evans, this weekend at the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach, California.

According toE!, it was a small and intimate wedding with 100 guests. The beautiful bride wore an Inbal Dror gown and Louboutin shoes. They reportedly said their I dos in the midst of pink hydrangeas and white roses.

Misty opened up about her wedding plans in Vanity Fairlast October:

Id like to show my figure, somewhat romantic and elegant. I dont think I want to go super poofy or anything like that, she said. Its very different for a performer, a ballerina, someone who is on stage a lot and wears big costumes. So its not like this is my chance to be that way, because thats something I do every day, almost. I want to feel like myself but more beautiful than I do every day.

Congrats, beauty!

You Will Be Able to Party to Frank Ocean"s Long-Awaited New Album This Weekend

FRANK OCEAN BOYS DONT CRY STREAM+ CHAT

When Frank Ocean"s debut album Channel Orange was released in 2012, the 24-year-old singer and songwriter was hailed as a once-in-a-generation talent. Both a critical and commercialsmash, the smooth-sounding album of futuristicR&B was nominated for six Grammys, winning for best urban contemporary album. Frank Ocean had arrived. Fans couldn"t wait to see what this fresh new voice would do next. Four years later, they"re still waiting.

Now, it appears Ocean"s musical hibernation is nearing its end. For real this time. According to a report in The New York Times, Ocean"ssophomore album, Boys Don"t Cry, is set to be released on Friday. It will come via an exclusive deal with Apple Music, which is expected to last two weeks before the album is made available on other streaming services.

Though the news seems reliable, it"s hard for fans to get too excited without actually being able to pump new Frank Ocean music through their headphones. While some artists may step out of the limelightcompletely, Ocean has been teasing the new release for years. The yet-to-be-released album"s website features an image of a library slip with multiple since-passed due dates and the name Boys Don"t Cryat the bottom.

It"s not as if Ocean doesn"t realize his fans have been waiting. Hopefully, this latest in a long line of hopeful news items concerning the album"s release won"t result in another due date stamped on the library card. If it does, then we should at least be able to fine him.
