EXCLUSIVE

Bobby Brown is in it for the long haul -- standing firm in his belief Bobbi Kristina can pull out of her coma ... now that she"s getting treatment at a facility known for its long term care.

Bobby was walking outside DeKalb Medical this week. It"s touted as the best Long Term Acute Care hospital in the Atlanta area ... partly because the facility has equipment to provide continuous monitoring of vital signs -- crucial in a case like Bobbi Kristina"s.

As we reported ... doctors at Emory University Hospital tested her responsiveness last week before she was transferred to DeKalb. We"re told there was no change.

Sources tell us Bobby is still leaning on the power of prayer to save his daughter ... who"s remained unconscious since Feb 1.

Friday Feature: "True Story" review

TRUE STORY Trailer Deutsch German & Check | James Franco 2015 [HD]

Hayden Pittman, WFAA Special Contributor 4:36 p.m. CDT April 17, 2015

(L-R) Jonah Hill as Mike Finkel and James Franco as Christian Longo in "True Story."(Photo: Barry Wetcher/Fox Searchlight Pictures)

Starring James Franco, Jonah Hill, and Felicity Jones, "True Story" is a dramatic thriller based on true events and elevated by performances from Franco and Hill, who star in a more serious and engaging role than most audiences have likely seen before.

Overall, this film has many good qualities, but it also has several elements that seem to be out of place or that simply do not work. Although there is some dark and hard content, it"s nice to see Hill and Franco together in something other than a comedy. While the film may not be on the exact same level, it almost presents a "Gone Girl" or "Prisoners"-like thrilling, dramatic experience.

Going into this film, I didn"t know anything about it. To my knowledge, I was not familiar with the story and had not seen any advertisements for the film. Being a fan of Franco, Hill, and Jones, I had good hopes for the movie. Initially, I expected Hill or Franco to start telling jokes, but after some time, I started to appreciate their decent performances. "True Story" won"t be mistaken for the best of its genre or one of the top films of the year, but it"s a refreshing change from some of the other films currently in theaters.

Hill plays the role of Michael Finkel, a journalist for the New York Times who gets fired for improperly creating a story about African slave trade. On top of losing his job and struggling to find another, Finkel soon finds out that Christian Longo (Franco), a man who is part of the FBI"s Most Wanted for allegedly murdering his wife and kids, has been arrested, and claims to have been living as Michael Finkel. The real Finkel goes to visit Longo in prison, and the two strike up a rather strange relationship, where Finkel ends up trading journalism and writing tips for Longo"s confession and account of what really happened.

"True Story" is the kind of film that is not always clear, doesn"t give you all the pieces and presents a slow reveal, which often keeps you guessing, waiting, and sometimes confused. It"s clearly a drama or suspense thriller, utilizing techniques like slow motion, extreme close-ups of people or objects, shots that are in and out of focus, long pauses, and ominous or dark background music. Some of the material is often weird, eerie, or difficult to watch, such as the creepy relationships or encounters between characters, or when Longo is describing how his family died while showing flashbacks of the event. There"s not exactly a huge shocking reveal at the end; it"s more of the creepy and odd way everything plays out.

The plot of the film is intriguing enough and there are several known quality actors, but for whatever reason, certain things don"t seem to work. Whether it"s the dialogue, pacing, the setup and layout of events, or something else entirely, parts of the film just feel off, unclear, out of place, misused, poorly executed, etc. Felicity Jones plays Finkel"s wife, and while her performance is not a loss, her role seems forced or incomplete at times. As she is an English actress, I had a difficult time trying not to focus on her attempting to cover up her accent. When it"s all said and done, there are certain elements in the film that are very weird.

While the storytelling and treatment may not be perfect, it"s fascinating and even chilling to think about the reality of what really happened with Finkel and Longo. From British theater director Rupert Goold, produced by Brad Pitt"s Plan B Entertainment, and premiering at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, "True Story" feels more like an artistic indie thriller than a Hollywood blockbuster. For fans of Hill and Franco, their interactions and one-on-ones are the main reasons to see this film. Opinions of this film are all over the map, but there"s no denying that this tense thriller and true story provide adequate entertainment.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars.

"True Story" is rated R for language and some disturbing material. Running time is 1 hour and 40 minutes.

The Instant Historian: Britt McHenry Was Classist, So Is The Internet

Donkey of the day: Britt McHenry (Mean Girl)

Britt McHenry berated a towing company employee. The tape leaked. It trended worldwide. ESPN suspended her for one week. She apologized. While the leaker edited the footage, its hard to envisage context that would soften what was said, which was ugly.

Reactions, as they are wont to do, polarized into two camps. Supporters felt McHenry had a lamentable outburst, a relatable low moment unfortunately caught on camera. Critics argued the sharp, personal attacks were odious and character defining. Treating another person that way was not something reasonable people did. The truth, as usual, was somewhere in the grey area between.

My initial reaction skewed critical. Ive been angry. Ive been frustrated. Ive had low moments, unfit for film. But, Ive never, to my recollection, lashed out at another person about their perceived education, skill-set, domicile or teeth. Maybe thats empathy. More probably thats a combination of conflict avoidance and guilt or perhaps just not having being provoked to that point.

The thing isIve done this, in a broader sense. So have many of you.

McHenrys biting insults profession, education, weight, dental care, take your pick centered on the tow truck employees class. Media, to large extent, have grown attuned to race, gender and sexuality sensitivity. Class is another matter. The same folks hounding down every slightand malapropism in the former realms have few compunctions about reducing working class people to a tableau.

Most Internet humor that goes viral (not involving cats) is some variation of we the educated laughing at the zany antics of the great unwashed. Many media members told us they stayed on Twitter for the jokes. The jokes and memes are, often, cutting, impolite jibes about many of the topics McHenry touched on.Look at this outfit I saw at the stadium.Everyones off to #LexingtonPoliceScanner, right? How do you guys feel aboutOlive Garden? #TCAP still on? Everyone loves Shirtless, towel-waving N.C. State fan.

Speaking for myself, Ive made fun of people I didnt like for their weight and their physical appearance. Ive belittled others educations and professions. As a Michigan fan, Ive made comments about rival Ohio one may consider classist (Ill shut up about the sweat pants. I promise). Much of my activity, writing about college football, is finding folks like this or like thisto ridicule. I laugh, heartily, at the rubes who call into Paul Finebaums show.

A world that causes no offense would be dour and humorless. Theres a difference between tongue-in-cheek and deeply-held belief. Theres a difference between playing with stereotypes and spewing direct vitriol in someones face. But, the differences are not enough for me to start spouting off about virtue. Maybe your conscience is clean.

McHenry has been labeled as a Mean Girl for this incident. Undoubtedly, bearing as strong a resemblance to Regina George as any member of the sports media is having a strong bearing on how this is being processed. But, its worth notingthe point from Tina Feys movie was that everyone has that mean girl inside them. A quick cruise through McHenrys mentions on social media will attest to that.

Opprobrium has descended upon her. McHenrys actions warrant it. She was, without question, wrong. But, when we adjudicate these matters over the Internet, we tend to exculpate ourselves and brutally castigate the isolated individual. Thats the precise mistake that got McHenry intro trouble.

One person wont alter the prevailing social media wind. But, remember, pretty much at any moment, that torrential wind can come down on you.

Most Goals Real Madrid History: Cristiano Ronaldo Approaching Ral ...

Real Madrid vs Granada FULL MATCH ENGLISH COMMENTARY 720p 05/04/2015 BBVA LA LIGA

Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the best soccer player in the world. But for now, he has his sights set on becoming the best player in Real Madrid history.

At the moment, Ronaldo has 301 career goals as a member of Real Madrid, the third most in team history. Ral Gonzlez holds the all-time scoring record with 323 club goals. The only other player with more goals than Ronaldo at the moment is Alfredo Di Stfano, who scored 305 goals for Real Madrid. Ronaldo is just five goals away from surpassing Stfano for second on the list.

Not only is Ronaldo approaching Stfano for second place on the all-time Real Madrid list, but he is close to passing him for most La Liga goals as well. Ronaldo has scored 215 La Liga goals since coming over from Manchester United in 2009, that"s the eighth most all-time. Only Lionel Messi has more career La Liga goals (277) as an active player.

Ronaldo needs to just one more La Liga goal to tie Stfano, and another 13 goals to tie Gonzlez for most La Liga goals in Real Madrid franchise history. To make things even more interesting and intriguing, Ronaldo currently has 38 La Liga goals this season.

Why is that relevant?

It"s critical because Ronaldo is also 13 goals away from breaking Messi"s single season La Liga scoring record of 50 goals. Messi scored 50 goals in the 2011-12 season for Barcelona. Right now, the magic number for Ronaldo is 13.

Fortunately for Ronaldo, he not only has the ongoing 2015 UEFA Champions League to score, but he also has seven more Spanish League games remaining this year to find the net. Ronaldo is still just 30 years old, and he shows no signs of slowing down. At the rate he is going, Ronaldo will break Gonzlez"s record in less than one year.

Ronaldo has the top three single-season highest scoring outputs in Real Madrid history. Because of this extraordinary accomplishment, he has put himself on a scoring pace that would shatter the Real Madrid scoring record. Ronaldo has also benefited from staying healthy, and being able to play in almost every game for Real Madrid on a consistent basis.

As far as potentially breaking the single season record this year, Ronaldo will need to score 13 goals in the final seven La Liga games. That"s a tough challenge, but Ronaldo is fully capable of doing so.

All Time Real Madrid Scorers:

1. Ral Gonzlez: 323 (228 La Liga)

2. Alfredo Di Stfano: 305 (216 La Liga)

3. Cristiano Ronaldo: 301 (215 La Liga)

4. Carlos Santillana: 289 (186 La Liga)

5. Ferenc Pusks: 242 (156 La Liga)

Dubai"s property prices moving into "sweet spot"

Dubai City As You"ve Never Seen It Before. WOW!!!

AKOYA construction in progress at the Akoya by Damac construction site in Dubai. Damac Properties has announced a pre-summer package that includes promotional offers.

Dubai:

Dubais developers are starting to hit the sweet spot in pricing anywhere between Dh600-Dh900 a square foot for off-plan launches aimed at a budget conscious buyer. The price band is deemed crucial to convince more genuine end-users to get in at a time when market sentiments are deemed as being soft.

Also, at these prices for what are small to mid-sized apartments, it will not be too high a barrier for buyers to finance the purchase or at least the bulk of it through cash rather than go through elaborate process of raising mortgages. As it is, on off-plan property, mortgage is limited to a maximum of 50 per cent of the value, as per banking guidelines.

More properties are now being introduced in the budget-critical range of Dh500,000 to Dh1.5 million, said Niraj Masand, Partner at the property services firm Banke M. E. Nshama launched around 150 apartments last week at Dh500,000 to Dh1 million at the Town Square development and will follow up with another release, expected to around the same number of units and pricing in the coming days. At a price of Dh800-Dh900, these are eliciting strong responses. (The developer had earlier launched town houses where the offer price was set from Dh1 million, but the majority were averaging around Dh1.2 million and more.) Another developer, GGICO Properties released more than 200 apartment units on April 1 (as pre-launch) and April 11 as part of its Topaz Residences project in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Price of a one-bedroom unit is Dh536,982. Confirmed sales have gone past the 80 per cent mark for this phase, said a spokesperson at GGICO, which also has in place a scheme with 30/70 per cent payment plan, with the balance to be paid at 2 per cent a month from completion, free of interest.

Market sources suggest that most of such purchases could be by end-users. Theres very little flipping activity taking place in the market now and its quite unlikely anyone would want to buy now with that intent in mind, said a source. Even at these entry prices, it just wouldnt make sense.

Meanwhile, even at the other end of the Dubai property spectrum, developers are getting proactive on their incentives. Damac Properties has announced a pre-summer package that includes promotional offers on payment plans and the removal of processing fees on mortgages. But the developer is not solely looking at buyers from within.

These make investing in Dubai property even more attractive to overseas buyers and we aim to continue presenting the most luxurious living experiences with funding options, said Niall McLoughlin, Senior Vice-President, Damac. The developer is offering mortgages free of processing fees through a partnership with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank on all villas and apartments at Akoya.

For some of Dubai Properties developments, the incentives now include a 10 per cent down payment and as much as 70 per cent on handover.

Yellowjacket suits up in second trailer for Marvel"s Ant-Man

1st Full Look at Ant-Man - Marvel"s Ant-Man Teaser

We"re just a few weeks away from the release ofAvengers: Age of Ultron, and thanks to trailers, press events and the sheer scope of the thing it already looks pretty set to be one of the biggest blockbusters of all time. So Marvel Studios is again turning its attention to the film that will followAge of Ultron and, in its own way, conclude Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and set the stage forCaptain America: Civil War. That film isAnt-Man, and for a long time the big news surrounding it was less about the content of the story and more about the shuffling of talent that happened when Edgar Wright left the project after years of work.

Ever since Wright was replaced by director Peyton Reed and writer Adam McKay (with a little help from star Paul Rudd),Ant-Man"s had something to prove to a lot of fans, and for many of those fans the first trailer just didn"t cut it. Now the second trailer for the film is here, and it"s a much bigger showcase of the kind of spectacle Reed and company have in store for us. This time around, we get to a purer distillation of Scott Lang"s (Rudd) powers as Ant-Man, a hint at Yellowjacket"s (Corey Stoll) motives, more of Hope van Dyne (Evangelina Lilly) being a badass, and some pretty spectacular footage of Yellowjacket and Ant-Man battling it out in their respective suits. There"s even a harrowing train crash ... sort of. Check it out:

In addition to the trailer, we"ve got some new remarks from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige about where the film fits into Marvel"s overall cinematic universe plan. A few years back, it felt like a quirk in the Marvel machine, Edgar Wright"sAnt-Man vision, but now -- like all Marvel films -- it"s part of an elaborate, larger plan, and it just so happens to be the film that closes out Marvel"s Phase Two following the epic events ofAge of Ultron. So, with that illustrious position in the Marvel schedule, how doesAnt-Man tie in to the rest of the universe?

"Its not [an afterthought]. The truth is the phases mean a lot to me and some people but...Civil War is the start of Phase Three. It just is. And Ant-Man is a different kind of culmination of Phase Two because it very much is in the MCU," Feige told SlashFilm.

"You meet new characters and you learn about Hank Pym and his lineage with the MCU over the years. But at the same time, it also picks up the thread of Age of Ultron in terms of heroes major heroes, Avengers coming from unexpected places. Whether its prison in the case of Scott Lang or being a very disgruntled Sokovian Twins as Wanda and Pietro are in Age of Ultron. And in that way it connects a lot.

"Also, Hank Pyms attitude towards Avengers, towards S.H.I.E.L.D, and kind of the cinematic universe in general, is much more informed after the events of Age of Ultron, and in a certain way, before the events of Civil War."

Ant-Man hits theaters July 17.

We had some trouble registering for the service in the immediate moments after it went live this morning. Things seem to be settling now, but some users are still experiencing problems. As you go through the set-up process, you"ll agree to a bunch of fine print most people will probably ignore. But there"s some interesting stuff in there. For one, HBO is reserving the right to change the amount of simultaneous streams that customers can watch whenever it chooses and without warning.

HBO may change the maximum number of simultaneous streams and/or registered devices that you may use at any time.

HBO reserves the right to shut down password sharing

Should login sharing become a real problem that eats into HBO Now"s success, the company has given itself full allowance to get much stricter about where and when you can watch. But don"t be alarmed just yet. Knowing that this is a service for cord cutters, HBO is at least partially open to the idea of users sharing HBO Now between family members. Another section of the user agreement mentions that you can add "authorized users" who can use the service under your own account. HBO warns that this should only be used for people living in the same household, but will that be something it somehow tries to enforce? There"s no telling right now.

It"s just what you"d expect (for now)

Once you successfully register, you"ll find that the HBO Now app on Apple TV is largely identical to HBO Go. And there"s no reason it shouldn"t be; HBO has made clear from the start that Now would offer its full vault of original shows and catalog movies. You"re not losing anything here compared to cable customers, nor should you expect to get anything extra. At least, not yet.Fast Company"s interview with CEO Richard Plepler hints that HBO Now may eventually offer programming that won"t appear on the main, linear network. Those possibilities are exciting, but they"re not here at launch.

Aside from the home screen, HBO Now"s main navigation bar is divided into six sections: Watchlist, Series, Movies, More, Search, and Settings. Aside from "More," which is where you"ll find HBO sports and comedy specials, they"re all pretty self explanatory. From anywhere in the app, you can add shows and movies to your Watchlist. Series is where you"ll find HBO"s long history of acclaimed original shows like The Sopranos or current hits like Game of Thrones. As for movies, HBO has a pretty extensive collection of on-demand films, and helpfully gives you the precise date when each one will be leaving the service.

As usual with Apple TV apps, navigating around is dead simple. It"s incredibly user friendly and obvious; select any show or movie and you can start playing it instantly, watch a brief preview, add it to your watch list, or hit "more" for cast and crew information. So the Apple TV channel is functional, but also a bit bland and inelegant. Especially in the movies section, expect to find yourself scrolling through large grids of icons, which has become another hallmark of the Apple TV experience. None of that"s a huge annoyance on iPhone or iPad, where things are laid out better and browsing content is faster and more efficient since you"re swiping through everything.

The Apple TV experience is a bit boring, but it works just fine

If HBO Go is any indication, the company will have more freedom to experiment with menus and user interface whenever Now inevitably reaches other living room boxes and game consoles. (See:HBO Go on PlayStation 4.) Still, it"s perfectly usable on Apple TV, and you"re here for the content more so than the app itself. Playback seems to work just fine. Streams start up promptly and display in HD without any noticeable buffering or freezing issues, so MLB Advanced Media seems to be doing a decent job handling the backend of HBO"s standalone service. So far, anyway. We"ll see how things hold up Sunday night when the internet is in full Game of Thrones mode. Reliability may go out the window.

If you"re in Apple"s ecosystem, it"s a no brainer

Signing up for the free month"s trial of HBO Now is something of a no brainer. This is something people have spent years waiting for, and it won"t take long to decide whether HBO"s content library is worth your $14.99 each month. And even then, remember that there"s no commitment involved, so you can theoretically come and go whenever your favorite HBO shows are in-season. Obviously the company would prefer you stick with it, but there"s nothing that says you have to.

At launch, HBO Now on Apple TV is just what we expected it to be. It"s HBO Go without the costly cable package. If you don"t have any Apple devices around, jumping in right now might not make the most sense. Cord cutting Android users will need to keep borrowing someone else"s HBO Go login for now. In the months ahead, HBO Now should develop into a richer experience and one available on many more devices. But for right now, all you need is the internet and Apple. Thankfully, an Apple TV will only cost you 69 bucks.

Kennedy name still resonates in Japan

Norah O"Donnell interviews Caroline Kennedy for "60 Minutes"

The following script is from "Ambassador Kennedy" which aired on April 12, 2015. Norah O"Donnell is the correspondent. Draggan Mihailovich, producer.

This is a pivotal time in U.S.-Japanese relations: China is aggressively looking to assert itself in Asia, the U.S. and Japan are negotiating what would be the biggest trade deal in a generation, and old wounds have reopened almost 70 years after the end of World War II. So it was surprising that President Obama nominated Caroline Kennedy to be America"s ambassador to Japan. She had no foreign policy experience and limited knowledge of East Asia. But after a year and a half on the job, Ambassador Kennedy has earned the respect of Japan"s prime minister and the Japanese people. It has also helped that the Kennedy name still resonates in Japan.

Norah O"Donnell and Caroline Kennedy

CBS News

Tradition calls for the new American ambassador to Japan to receive a ceremonial carriage ride to the Imperial Palace. What made Caroline Kennedy"s ride different was the thousands who lined the streets to see her off to the palace, where she presented her credentials to the emperor.

And look at the reaction Ambassador Kennedy received one rainy morning last month during what was supposed to be an ordinary visit to a Plum Blossom Festival.

Her reception in Japan since arriving in November 2013 is partly because she has sparked memories of her father, President John F. Kennedy.

Caroline Kennedy: People in Japan very much admire him. It"s one of the ways that many people learned English. Almost every day somebody comes up to me and wants to quote the inaugural address. And including senior figures in the military, or, you know people on the street.

[JFK: "Ask not what your country can do for you...]

President Kennedy is still seen by many Japanese as a reflection of the America they idealize: young and dynamic. Last month at Japan"s National Archives, a JFK exhibit drew visitors such as Japan"s prime minister at Tokyo"s Waseda University, students lined up two hours in advance for a symposium on JFK.

Norah O"Donnell: There"s so much rich history between your family and Japan.

Caroline Kennedy: That"s been a very powerful part of this experience for me. He hoped to be the first American president to visit Japan. And so I think, for me, coming here, that"s an extra layer of meaning that this posting has for me.

John Kennedy was nearly killed by the Japanese during the Pacific War. Only 18 years later, he entered the White House and made reconciliation with his former enemy a top priority. He had planned to visit Japan in 1964 and reunite crew members from his PT 109 boat with the captain and crew of the Japanese destroyer that had sunk his boat.

Caroline Kennedy: Now, that would"ve obviously been incredible. But I was just able to meet the widow of the destroyer captain a few days ago. And so I felt like he was looking down on me and history was really coming full circle.

That Caroline Kennedy, who is now 57, has found herself serving her country halfway around the world is not what she expected when she went to the White House in the winter of 2013, an empty nester looking for a job.

Norah O"Donnell: How did this come about?

Caroline Kennedy: Well, I was in Washington talking to people in the White House about how I might be able to serve the president. And so, they said, "Well, what about ambassador to Japan?" And so I was like "Japan?" So anyway, I said, "Well, I would love to do that."

Norah O"Donnell: But did you say, you know, "Why Japan?" Or, "Am I the right person for this?" Or...

Caroline Kennedy: Oh yeah, I said that too. But since they had suggested it, I figured they had thought it through and they had. And I came home and I said, "OK, well, guess what they said." And of course nobody in my family could have possibly imagined. And everybody got so excited because it was just such an unexpected and amazing opportunity.

[Caroline Kennedy: And I am proud to endorse Senator Barack Obama for president of the United States.]

President Obama owed Caroline Kennedy. She and her Uncle Ted propelled Obama, by endorsing him over Hillary Clinton early and publicly at a critical time during his first campaign.

Norah O"Donnell: I mean, some ambassadorships are ceremonial. This is a really big job. Was there any hesitation?

Caroline Kennedy: No. All the more reason. You know, that"s what"s so exciting about it. When you feel like you can really make a contribution.

For the Japanese, the appointment was seen as a meaningful sign of the importance America placed on its alliance with Japan.

Kuniko Inoguchi: Oh, we were so honored...

Kuniko Inoguchi is a member of parliament from Japan"s ruling party.

Kuniko Inoguchi: Everybody was so very happy. We thought Japan was treated as in a very special way. And, and she has been so effective. I think she"s one of the most beloved foreign ambassadors in town.

Many Japanese have been struck by her informality as ambassador and by how she likes to jog regularly around Tokyo like any normal tourist. Caroline Kennedy is known to be private, but she seems more at ease than ever in this job and the Japanese value her because it"s believed she can deliver messages directly to President Obama.

Norah O"Donnell: Do you have the president"s ear? Do you have a special relationship with him?

Caroline Kennedy: Well, I mean, yes. It depends on what you mean by special relationship. But I feel that if I need to talk to him, I can.

There is plenty to talk about. What is going on in East Asia, Kennedy believes, is the story of the century.

Norah O"Donnell: And yet, the news is dominated by the Middle East.

Caroline Kennedy: Right. You guys are missing the story, OK?

Norah O"Donnell: How?

Caroline Kennedy: Because what is going on out here in Asia is, there is so much opportunity for America. There is so much good will towards America. There is economic opportunity.

Ambassador Kennedy is keen on a massive trade deal, the biggest since NAFTA, that is now being negotiated among the U.S., Japan and 10 other countries. But another issue is looming over East Asia: the ascendance of China. Relations between China and Japan are tense -- a booming China has quadrupled its military spending, doesn"t like Japan and has designs on islands the Japanese consider theirs. What many Americans may not know is the United States is obligated to come to Japan"s aid in case of an attack.

Norah O"Donnell: How much does Japan depend on the U.S. to defend it?

Caroline Kennedy: Well, we are responsible for the defense of Japan. And we have a security treaty. And so what"s being debated here now is the ability of Japan to come to the aid, for example, of us, if we are being threatened.

That debate is being led by Japan"s prime minister, Shinzo Abe, who wants to unshackle the country"s military from its post-war restrictions, making neighbors in Asia very nervous.

Norah O"Donnell: And what"s the U.S. position?

Caroline Kennedy: Well, we support this because Japan is an incredibly capable, trusted partner with whom we have very close relationships at the working level, in the military.

Ambassador Kennedy herself has forged a close working relationship with Abe.

Caroline Kennedy: He is a very strong partner for us. I see him regularly. I think he"s very pro- the U.S. alliance. What he"s really committed to is restoring Japan"s ability to be an effective leader on the world stage.

At times Abe hasn"t made it easy for Kennedy. He stoked anger throughout much of Asia one month into her assignment by publicly paying homage to Japan"s war dead, including 14 war criminals, at Tokyo"s infamous Yasukuni Shrine...more recently he"s argued that widely accepted accounts of Japanese soldiers abusing what were known as comfort women during World War II are exaggerated.

Norah O"Donnell: What are your thoughts on that?

Caroline Kennedy: Well, I think as President Obama said when he was here in the region last spring, I mean, the violation of human rights that that represents is deplorable. But I think our interest is to encourage the countries to work together and resolve those differences.

Norah O"Donnell: That"s a diplomatic answer.

Caroline Kennedy: But it"s true!

Norah O"Donnell: No, but what is true is there are thousands of women who were enslaved during World War II in military brothels to service the Japanese military. I mean, is he trying to whitewash history?

Caroline Kennedy: Well, the challenge for Japan-Korea, for Japan-U.S. is to learn from the past so that these horrible violations are never, ever repeated.

Abe wasn"t elected to revise the past but to revitalize the economy, an imperative given what"s happened to Japan.

There was a time, 30 years ago, when Japan"s economic might was seen as a threat to the United States. Japan"s electronics and auto industries were the envy of the world. Then, in the 1990s, Japan"s bubble burst. Deflation and stagnation became the norm. One lost decade turned into two, leaving many to wonder whether Japan"s best days are long past.

That was even before the tsunami hit four years ago. This was the coastal town of

Otsuchi then...and this is the town today. Little has risen but dirt. Japan"s population is aging faster than any other country"s and the nation is suffering from a shortage of workers. The Japanese are feeling diminished, especially in comparison to China, but Caroline Kennedy is bullish on Japan and seems eager to promote the U.S.-Japanese alliance. She"s patient when it comes to the endless ceremonial visits, a requirement of the job.

Caroline Kennedy: I"m a very diplomatic person.

Norah O"Donnell: How so?

Caroline Kennedy: I feel that I"ve been representing my family legacy all my life. And so in that way it"s, it"s an extension of some of that work. But this is obviously much more important.

[Caroline Kennedy: This room has a lot of history...]

To walk through the ambassador"s official residence is to get a glimpse of history. In this room, one month after World War II, a defeated Emperor Hirohito paid a visit to General Douglas MacArthur, a sign the Americans were now in charge. In her library, Kennedy has pictures of her own role in history. One photo in particular caught our eye...the Kennedy family watching bagpipers from the Scottish regiment, The Black Watch, on the south lawn of the White House...the date: November 13th, 1963.

Caroline Kennedy: My mother kept that picture. It was the last picture of the four of us that was taken. So, it meant a lot to her. So I was, I"m happy to have it.

Norah O"Donnell: Many Americans remember you as that five-year-old girl who was gallivanting around the, the Oval Office, those pictures. What do you remember about your dad?

Caroline Kennedy: Well, I remember, you know, things that little kids would remember. And I do remember playing in the office. And I remember the bedtime stories he used to tell me. I feel really lucky that I do have the memories that I have in the sense that my brother and I were the most important things in his life.

[Jack Schlossberg: Hi, I"m Jack. Nice to meet you...]

While we were in Japan we saw Jack Schlossberg, JFK"s grandson and the youngest of Caroline"s three children...

[Jack Schlossberg: Thank you for taking care of my mother...]

At 22, he certainly has the bearing and the look, thick hair and all, of another Kennedy politician...as for Caroline Kennedy, being ambassador to Japan appears to suit her just fine. She"s not thinking about the future.

Caroline Kennedy: I"ve seen things change too much, throughout my life. So I, I figure you know, I"ll figure it out when it, something"ll occur to me. I"ll get a bright idea and hopefully it"ll be a good one.

NRA Convention Becomes a Hillary Clinton Roast

Hillary Clinton 2016 Announcement: Find Out About the Potential President Candidate In A Minute

NASHVILLEProspective 2016 Republican presidential candidates and the leaders of the National Rifle Association focused more on Hillary Clinton than President Barack Obama on Friday as they criticized their gun-control views and other policies.

"We"re onto her. She"s been coming after us for decades," NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre told the group"s annual convention. "Hillary Clinton hasn"t met a gun control bill she couldn"t support."

In a sprawling ballroom at the Music City Center convention center, LaPierre took members of the nation"s largest and most powerful gun organization on a stroll down memory lane of Clinton controversies, saying the former secretary of state, senator and first lady "has more "gates" than a south Texas cattle ranch."

Hillary Clinton has more "gates" than a south Texas cattle ranch.

NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre

Clinton is poised to announce her second bid for the presidency as early as this weekend.

"We will stand and we will fight with everything we"re got and in 2016, by G*d, we will elect our next great president of the United States of America and it will not be Hillary Rodham Clinton," LaPierre said.

Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who announced his candidacy last month, made a reference to a cannon involved with the Texas Revolution in the 1830s, as he noted Clinton"s pending entry into the race.

"This weekend, Hillary Clinton is announcing for president," he said. "Well, I"ll tell you, if Hillary Clinton is going to join with Barack Obama and the gun-grabbers that come after our guns, then what I say is come and take it."

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush called the Second Amendment "the original Homeland Security Act," as he pitched his record on guns.

Ive been in the trenches with you. And when I was governor, we were passing laws and creating protections for gun-owners that set the bar for other states to follow," he said.I will match my record against anyone elses when it comes to the support and defense of the Second Amendment."

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida kept his criticism directed at Obama."Strong defenses, both on the national and the personal level, are means of preventing violence, not of promoting it," he said. "Weakness, on the other hand, is the friend of danger and weakness is the enemy of peace.President Obama has been a weak president. The only thing President Obama has strengthened over the last six years has been his own, unlawful power."

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker criticized Obama"s unsuccessful efforts to tighten gun regulations."Mr. President, last time I checked, the Second Amendment is part of the Constitution," he said. "You don"t get to pick and choose which part of the Constitution you like and which part you don"t."

Walker said his support for the NRA and less restrictive gun laws isn"t just because his state has a strong hunting heritage. "When we signed into law concealed carry, it was about freedom," he said.

Bobby Jindal, governor of Louisiana, arrives at the podium.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, looking out onto the audience at the start of his remarks, made a Clinton reference as well. "I think all of us are what Hillary Clinton once called the "vast right wing conspiracy," he joked.

Jindal called the NRA the "most effective civil rights organization" in the U.S. "It is our duty to not only exercise our freedoms, but to defend the freedoms of all Americans," he said.

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry, who is known for jogging with a firearm, told the gathering that he had "hung out the "open for business" sign for gun manufactures." The best defense against crime is an "armed citizenry," he said.

Ben Carson, a neurosurgeon-turned-conservative-activist,sought to assure NRA members about a 2013 statement he made about semi-automatic weapons."I"ve learned how to express myself better," he said."I am extremely pro-Second Amendment."

Despite what he has seen on the streets and in emergency rooms, Carson said he remains solidly pro-gun."I spent many a night operating on people with gunshot wounds to their heads," he said. "It is not nearly as horrible as having a population that is defenseless against a group of tyrants who have arms."

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee ended his speech with a "G*d bless the NRA," after arguing that guns are central to the nation"s self-defense."We will not disarm and America will never fall," he said."It will not fall because we will not let it."

Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina kept his focus on Obama, as he said that virtually all of the Republicans likely to run for president are supportive of gun rights."The next time you vote for president, make sure they"ve at least run a lemonade stand, they"re proud of their country in terms of being exceptional and they know somebody who owns a gun," he said.

In total, almost a dozen prospective Republican candidates spoke Friday afternoon, near the start of a three-day convention that organizers say will draw about 70,000.Absent were New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, who weren"t invited.

Scott Walker taking the stage on Friday.

Christie, who once criticized the NRA after the group featured Obama"s children in a video, received a marginal grade (C) from them beforeof his successful 2013 re-election.

Paul, who opposes gun control legislation and has been an outspoken on the Second Amendment, is in the midst of a four-state tour following his Tuesday presidential campaign announcement.

With the exception of Christie, nearly all of the prospective Republican candidates are opposed to new limits on the purchase or use of guns. Their NRA ratings range from A-plus to an A-minus.

National Sibling Day: 10 annoying questions twins and their parents always get ...

National Sibling Day

With National Sibling Day today, we"ve gone all nostalgic. We"re remembering the fights to the death and the cunning pranks, the joy and pain of having brothers and sisters.

But for twins, and their parents, there can be some very specific pains.

With a 1 in 65 chance of having twins, of course there is a fascination and curiosity about them, which naturally leads to some questions.

Not all of these questions go down well.

So the next time you find yourself talking to a twin, or their parents, cast your mind back to this list, and ask them something different instead.

1. The "whole again" question

Twins are also individual people, capable of independent thoughts and actions

2. The 6th Sense question

"We get asked if we can tell what the other one is thinking. Of course we can! We even have E.S.P., but only on leap years." - Reddit user

(N.b. the last bit is probably a joke.)

3. Not technically a question, but still

""Woah! I"m seeing double!"

"You shouldn"t be drinking this early/ I"d lay off the beer."" - Reddit user

4. The age question After all, age is just a number

- Reddit user

5. "Are they natural?" Is there such a thing as an unnatural twin? 6. "Is one a good twin and one an evil twin?"

7. The age question, again.

"We did get a little creative with the answers after the umpteenth time of being asked "Are they the same age?"

"My favourite answer to that one was always, "no, we stole that one". My husband on the other hand preferred the less politically correct, "no, this one is 12, he has a growth deficiency."" - Gabby, Sheffield

8. "That"s you done, then!" 9. Any question when you"re stressed and in a hurry It"s natural to be curious about twins, but mum might be in a hurry 10. "Which one"s your favourite?" But there are things that are nice to hear. A lot of twins and their parents understand that people are curious Are you a twin, or do you have twins? We"d love to hear about your experiences. NYC Hotspots: How to Do a Tasting Menu Like Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

This story first appeared in the April 24 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine.

WHERE TO EAT:

Almanac28 Seventh Ave. South, West Village

If the name sounds slightly familiar, it"s because Almanac made headlines in December for hosting Taylor Swift"s birthday dinner, at which guests included Jaime King and Cara Delevingne. But this West Village spot is more relatively low-key restaurant than party palace, offering three tasting menus, with the eight-course ($145) boasting a feast of razor clams, quail, short ribs, roasted oysters and black bass. "I love bringing friends to watch them devour the menu," says composer and producer Josh Ralph. "It"s always changing, and they use the finest ingredients out there."

Cafe Clover10 Downing St., West Village

A restaurant that would be nothing remarkable in Los Angeles seems refreshing in New York: Restaurateur David Rabin and his co-owner, socialite Kyle Hotchkiss Carone, have opened an upscale American eatery offering dishes that place an emphasis on healthy cuisine. Must-haves include quinoa tagliatelle, cauliflower steak and side dishes made with olive oil not butter. Diners have included Leslie Moonves, Sarah Jessica Parker, Common and Dianna Agron, who says, "Cafe Clover is filling a huge void in New York. Pairing clean, light, delicious food with a beautiful space is an idea more people should be embracing."

The Polo Bar1 E. 55th St., Midtown

Everyone is jostling for a reservation at this 3-month-old eatery, the first restaurant by design icon Ralph Lauren. So unless your name is Rockefeller or Rihanna, a table is hard to come by. "The Polo Bar has the makings of a true New York City establishment. It"s a great reflection of the warmth and impeccable taste of the entire Lauren family," says Ivanka Trump. Others who have dined at the bi-level restaurant done up in aged leather upholstery and tartan pillows include CAA"s Bryan Lourd, model Karlie Kloss and Bradley Cooper. Practically no reservations are available within the next six weeks, even for their least attractive 6 p.m. seating. And while being privy to the secret reservation email may help book a table (think the Waverly Inn circa 2008), if it doesn"t, don"t expect to grab a drink at the bar: A pair of iPad-carrying employees stand outside, making sure no one gets in who isn"t on the list. Menu highlights include cheeseburgers, brownie sundaes and the designer"s favorite corned beef sandwich. For those not into calories, don"t be afraid: There"s plenty of kale and tuna tartare, too.

The dining room at the Polo Bar.

Santina820 Washington St., Meatpacking District

Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi the James Beard-nominated chef/owners of Carbone and Dirty French have a new hit, where the food is just as delicious and the reservations just as hard to come by as at their other establishments. Santina, their newly opened coastal Italian restaurant, gleams inside a glass cube designed by architect Renzo Piano at the base of the new Whitney Museum, just under the High Line. The tastiest morsels on the menu also are the hardest to pronounce: cecina, giardinia crudite, chitarra santina and bass agrigento.

Upland345 Park Ave. South, Flatiron District

Stephen Starr, the mastermind behind Buddakan and Morimoto, has debuted another restaurant offering some major star-gazing: Upland, a California-inspired restaurant whose menu includes duck rather than chicken wings basted in chili pepper and yuzu paste. Since opening in October, the 88-seat spot, which features glowing, backlit jars of preserved lemons along the wall as a tribute to the West Coast, has attracted Natalie Portman and Gwyneth Paltrow.

WHERE TO STAY:

Sixty Soho60 Thompson St., SoHo

Jason Pomeranc"s newly renovated hotel is an art lover"s paradise: Formerly 60 Thompson, the property has debuted a new look following a multimillion-dollar renovation to all 97 guestrooms (from $499 a night). London-based artist Harland Miller was commissioned to create pieces for guestrooms and the lobby, and there are additional works by artists-of-the-hour Ryan McGinley and Will Cotton.

The Quin101 W. 57th St., Midtown

New York City"s historic Buckingham Hotel, built in 1929 and frequented by such music legends as pianist Ignacy Jan Paderewski, has been grandly restored, opening less than a year ago as The Quin. The 200-room property (from $499 a night), just two blocks from Central Park, now has a strong emphasis on partnerships with the art world, with recent exhibitions by Irish painter Patrick Graham and Blek le Rat, a street artist who was a major influence on Banksy. A bank of 17th-floor terrace suites has just opened.

WHERE TO DRINK:

The Happiest Hour121 W. 10th St., Greenwich Village

This whimsical new tiki-inspired cocktail bar and restaurant by Jon Neidich the guy behind NoHo"s rambunctious club ACME quietly opened in October, luring a celeb-dotted crowd partial to the impresario"s brand of expertly concocted drinks and late-night partying. For those looking for a quieter vibe, a downstairs area will open shortly, featuring a more elegant cocktail bar.

The Late Late159 E. Houston St., Lower East Side

Try your luck fitting in with the cool kids at The Late Late, where the open-door policy says you can come in and gawk, but that doesn"t mean you"ll blend in with the crowd of celebrity scions, actors and socialites with a rock icon or two thrown in. They come for the wide array of cocktails, including the Minty Fresh (a Guinness served over ice in a crystal goblet with mint liqueur and a sprig of mint), and an eclectic music program featuring DJs and performances, curated by Rob Ackroyd, lead guitarist of Florence & The Machine and co-owner of The Late Late with James Morrissey. "There"s a chilled vibe here, which makes it attractive to music industry professionals," says Ackroyd, whose bandmates along with musicians from such groups as Fall Out Boy, One Direction and Disclosure all have paid a visit.

A bartender at The Late Late, open every night of the week until 4 a.m. and offering USB ports under chairs throughout the bar.

The Nomad Bar10 W. 28th St., Midtown

Connected to the Nomad Hotel, this upscale hostelry"s version of a neighborhood tavern opened in June 2014 to rave reviews. The mahogany-filled bar features a fireplace and large comfy banquettes. The pub feel is dialed up a notch, however: Think carrot tartare and a chicken pot pie made with foie gras and black truffles.

Taylor Swifts new man, Calvin Harris, 31, is friends with Selena Gomezs new man, Zedd, 25. You would think everything would be just peachy, but maybe not. HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Taylor, 25, has been causing some strain between Selena and Zedd by revealing to Calvin all about Selenas on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber, 21. The DJ has been telling his good friend Zedd all this scoop from Taylors end, and hes not happy about it whatsoever.

Taylor Swift Ruining Selena Gomez & Zedds Relationship?

Calvin has asked Taylor on a few occasions about Selena, and Taylor has been very blunt and honest telling him that she is still hung up on Justin and really isnt relationship material, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. As you can imagine Calvin has reported all of this to Zedd, and that has really not been very beneficial when it comes to Zedd and Selenas relationship.

Oh, boy. Taylor was never a fan of Justin and Selenas relationship, and shes been thrilled at Zedd and Selenas romance. However, with Taylor talking about Justin to Calvin, this is creating some tension for Zeddlena.

Zedd has been definitely treading lightly when it comes to Selena, our source continues. And ever since Selena started working on her new movie and has been away from Zedd it has caused some issues because Zedd has focused most of his attention on his album and not Selena. So all things combined have made Zedd and Selenas relationship strained. And the one to blame is Taylor with her loose lips as she may have sabotaged their relationship by sharing her true feelings on the situation to Calvin.

Princeton Students Protest Rapper Big Sean for Promoting Rape Culture

Big Sean Threatens Justin Bieber For Pushin Up On Ariana Grande During Concert

Princeton University students are mounting aprotest against a performance by rapper Big Sean, who is scheduled to headline "Lawn Parties," anoutdoor festival on campus in the Spring, citing the musician for"promoting rape culture and misogyny."

Ina petition that asks the school"s student government to rescind theinvitation to the artist, juniorDuncan Hosie andseniorRebecca Balsaduawrite,"in the future, [the undergraduate student government]should strive to bring non-misogynistic acts to campus." Hosie and Balsadua told the Daily Princetonian that close to500 people have signed the petition.

Hosie said he saw a promotional video for the performance in which Big Sean rapped "stupid a*s b***h," became outraged, andtook to the Internet. After I saw that video, I started researching Big Seans language and I found language that was both misogynistic and homophobic, Hosie told the Princetonian. Balsadua said the university should have chosen another rapper.

Im sure every singer has a questionable song, but there are a significant amount of his songs that deal with this and I think there are a lot of other artists in the same genre even that would have been a better choice, she said. Hmm.

The studentssaid they were not responsible for fliers that popped up on campus urging students to protest the show.""If she look good, she pay me in s*x,"" read the fliers, quoting Big Sean"s song Dance (A$$) (hopefully the Nicki Minaj remix), adding: "Want to take this down? Take down Big Sean."

Big Seanis just the latest celebrityto face the ire of student activists. Recent offenders of the sensibility of college students include comedian Bill Maher, ChristineLagarde, the head of theInternational Monetary Fund, andAmerican Enterprise Institute fellow Ayaan Hirsi Ali, all of whom were the targets of protests after being picked to speak atcommencement ceremonies.

Gumption aside, it does not seem as if this particular crusade will work. The contracts are signed and its unrealistic to stop this from happening, said Simon Wu, the chairman of the student government"s social committee, in the Princetonian. Wu said the university may set up a panel at the Women"s Center to discussmisogyny in lyrics. For anyone at the festival looking to avoid being affected by Big Sean"s sexism, there"s always unlimited alcohol.

Watch Jack Nicklaus" hole-in-one at Augusta National

Jack Nicklaus Hole in One 2015 (Par 3 Contest)

With six green jackets hanging in his closet, Jack Nicklaus has a accumulated a few magic moments at Augusta National Golf Club.

Add one more to the list.

Playing in the par-three contest that precedes the Masters, the 75-year-old Nicklaus made a hole-in-one off the No. 4 tee on Wednesday.

"I took an 8-iron, put [the ball] on the side of the hole, and kept saying, "C"mon, c"mon. c"mon,"" he told reporters. "And then the ball disappeared."

Nicklaus" iron shot landed past the flag, then spun slowly but surely back to the cup. As the crowd erupted, he traded high fives with his group -- he played with Ben Crenshaw and Gary Player -- then shook a fist in the air.

"I enjoy the par-three because I can actually play it because it"s not long," he said.

Jurors submit two questions to judge in Tsarnaev trial

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Found Guilty of Bombing Boston Marathon

The jurors weighing the case against admitted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 12 people now the focus of the most highly watched trial in the citys history, met in secret for just over seven hours on Tuesday in their first day of deliberations and left without a verdict.

The jurors submitted two questions at the end of the day Tuesday, but US District Judge George A. OToole Jr. did not publicly disclose what they were. He plans to go over the questions Wednesday morning when the jury is slated to return and continue deliberating.

Following closing arguments on Monday, OToole made an announcement that surely startled some of the 18 jurors who sat through 16 days of often graphic testimony: Only 12 of them will decide the case, so six were designated as alternates, who will not deliberate.

The 12 remaining include a legal secretary and a college student, a registered nurse, and an administrative assistant at a computer company. The alternates who will not deliberate are a bookstore clerk, air traffic controller, social worker, actuary, house painter, and salesman.

The six alternates, who had sat through the entire trial so far, are still required to return to court in case they are needed as replacements, but are now separated from the jurors who are deliberating.

Evidence shows 3 months of planning

The alternates will also sit through the testimony and statements during the second phase of the trial in which the jurors will determine Tsarnaevs punishment.

But for now, jurors must determine Tsarnaevs guilt on 30 charges, 17 of which carry the possibility of the death penalty, for his role in setting off the bombs at the Boston Marathon finish line on April 15, 2013 that killed three people and injured more than 260, including 17 who lost limbs.

In spite of overwhelming media attention, each of the jurors told OToole before they were seated in early March that they could remain open-minded and weigh the evidence presented, and that they could hand out the death penalty if they find it is warranted.

Somebody... has to be held accountable in some regard for what happened, said Juror 83, who had taken a break in college classes and from his job at Best Buy to serve.

I am definitely open to either, he added. I hope [the punishment] serves the purpose of justice.

Reaching unanimous verdicts on the charges Tsarnaev faces might seem a quick task, considering he has already admitted through his lawyers that he took part in the bombings, the killing of an MIT police officer, and a gunfight with police in Watertown where an MBTA police officer was wounded and Tsarnaevs older brother was killed.

But legal analysts say that they expect the jurors, culled from a pool of 1,373 people and vetted in a process that lasted two months, to give the case thorough attention.

The 32-page verdict form that must be completed by the jury includes 30 counts, and several of those contain several sub-questions that ask whether Tsarnaevs actions caused injuries and deaths.

I think both parties in this case want a careful, thoughtful jury, said George Kendall, a New York lawyer who has handled hundreds of death penalty cases, including for the American Civil Liberties Union. I think the government feels very confident in its case in both phases, and I think the defense wants a responsible jury, a thoughtful jury. They dont want the jury taking any shortcuts this time and certainly not the next time.

Galina Davidoff, the director of jury consulting with Magna Legal Services, a litigation consulting firm, added that jurors may also take time simply talking about the case, especially if they followed instructions issued by OToole and did not discuss the case while the testimony was ongoing.

They need to talk about it; its an emotional case; they need to share; they need to get things off their chest, Davidoff said.

They can put those things aside later, but they need to say how they feel, she said.

The jurors will probably want to organize themselves and take a day to review the case before rendering a verdict, she said.

Jurors always take their job very seriously; it brings out the best in people and theyre trying to do the right thing and not rush the process, she said.

During the weeks-long vetting process, the jurors provided some biographical information to OToole, the lawyers and courtroom observers.

Juror 35, who sits in the first row in the seat closest to the judge, works for a state department of energy resources, and told OToole in March that he considers jury duty a civic obligation. Im honored to be eligible to serve, he said during the jury selection process.

Im committed to making my decision based on what you had said was all of the evidence in the case, he said.

Juror 41, a senior administrative assistant at a computer data company, told OToole, Im not one way for the death penalty; Im not one way against the death penalty. To me, I would have to hear the circumstances and the evidence.

Juror 102 is a registered nurse who said she planned to travel soon, but would be able serve on the panel before she left for her trip.

Juror 138 works for a local water department on the North Shore. Juror 229 consults as a social worker and said she can keep an open mind.

She said she felt that theres always so much more than what media coverage provides.

Juror 395 is a legal secretary and has taken copious notes throughout the trial.

Juror 349, who works in fashion product development, has cried several times during the testimony.

Juror 441 is a young man who recently was fired from his job as an auditor. He has looked closely at the video monitors as photos and video of the carnage has been played.

Juror 480 does telecommunications work for a local hospital. He was at work the day of the bombing and recalled, You could feel a buzz that something had happened.

Juror 286 lives in Boston and manages a restaurant north of the city. Being a manager, she said, she could hold someone accountable.

Edward Snowden back in Fort Greene Park (sort of)

Edward Snowden: "If I end up in Guantánamo I can live with that" | Guardian Interviews

On Monday, a trio of artists/ activists installed a Edward Snowden statue in Fort Greene Park. It was swiftly removed by police and Parks Dept. officials.

Today, in its place, is a projection of the statue.

"No one can erase the voice of the people," reads a tweet by the art collective The Illuminator, which created the projection.

From their website, here is the stated purpose:

"Inspired by the actions of these anonymous artists, The Illuminator Art Collective recreated the intervention ephemerally by projecting an image of the sculpture into a cloud of smoke. Our feeling is that while the State may remove any material artifacts that speak in defiance against incumbent authoritarianism, the acts of resistance remain in the public consciousness. And it is in sharing that act of defiance that hope resides."

According to ANIMAL New York, which documented the installation of the sculpture on Monday, The Illuminator was borne out of Occupy Wall Street to "shed a literal light on the issues that plague the 99%."

On Monday the Parks Dept. explained why the sculpture was taken down.

The erection of any unapproved structure or artwork in a city park is illegal, they said in a statement.

Will a projection of an image be considered illegal too?
