UFC 200 sees Brock Lesnar, Jose Aldo, Amanda Nunes and Daniel Cormier record wins

Jose Aldo wasn"t phased by Conor McGregor"s intense staredown during his fight - UFC 200

UFC 200 saw two new champions crowned with Daniel Cormier overcoming Anderson Silva and Brock Lesnar winning on his return to the Octagon.

Cain Velasquez kicked off the main card with a first-round knockout win over Travis Browne, putting him in line for a title shot.

The first of two title fights followed as Jose Aldo met Frankie Edgar in the Octagon in a long-awaited rematch.

Aldo beat Edgar via unanimous decision in their first meeting in 2013 but was coming into this bout on the back of a first loss in 10 years.

Edgar started the better, taking the opening round as Aldo looked tentative.

The Brazilian largely remained on the back foot, neither landing nor throwing very much, but a big right hand and a knee in the final minute of the round set the tone for the rest of the fight.

It was the first and last round Edgar would win.

Aldo picked up the pace in the second round, denying all of Edgar"s takedown attempts and keeping out of range while sporadically picking the American off.

Edgar fought back somewhat in the third, with one judge giving him the round, but the fourth and fifth both went the way of a resurgent Aldo who claimed the interim featherweight belt before calling out title-holder Conor McGregor.

Previous headliner Daniel Cormier was up next against Anderson Silva.

Silva stepped into the bout on just two days" notice after having gallbladder surgery and stepping up a weight class.

All three factors showed throughout as Cormier ruthlessly took Silva down in all three rounds - to increasing unrest from the crowd - to grind out the win.

Silva did trouble Cormier late in the third after the pair were stood up.

Silva landed a big kick to Cormier"s liver but didn"t have enough time to make it count.

The eagerly anticipated return to the Octagon of Brock Lesnar followed as he face the Super Samoan Mark Hunt.

Hunt was coming into the fight on the back of consecutive knockout wins but never came close to landing anything significant on Lesnar.

Lesnar landed big takedowns in rounds one and three - applying relentless ground and pound in the third to secure a 10-8 round - while Hunt patiently stalked his opponent for an opening that never came in the second.

Finally Miesha Tate defended her bantamweight title against Amanda Nunes for the first time since beating Holly Holm at UFC 196.

Tate started comfortably but found herself on the end of two good shots from Nunes which rocked her.

Tate never recovered and, failing to defend herself on her feet, tried to take the fight to the ground.
