The premise of The Muppets TV show is simple. ABC states that The Muppets is a return to primetime with a contemporary, documentary-style show. For the first time ever, a series will explore the Muppets personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires. This is a more adult Muppet show, for kids of all ages.

After the two announced their shocking split in late August, the Muppets stars Kermit the Frog & Miss Piggy are putting aside their personal differences to promote Miss Piggys upcoming late night TV show Up Late with Miss Piggy. During a recent interview, things took a sour turn when the temperamental sow was asked who she was. You want to know who I am and what do I do? Is that a serious question?! Miss Piggy screamed before flying into an uncontrollable rage. The man was escorted to safety and producers were able to calm Miss Piggy down enough to finish the interview. The whereabouts of the reporter remain unknown.
Across town, Kermit promoted his ex"s new show. This is my life now and it"s televised, said Kermit putting on a brave face. Despite trying to remain positive, Kermit appeared slightly on edge. Kermit"s new hog Denise was not available for comment.
Working with his ex-pig may not be as easy as he wants fans to believe. According to a source, Kermit the Frog booked Elizabeth Banks on Miss Piggy"s late night talk show and chaos ensued -- but you"ll have to tune in to find out why Miss Piggy is upset about that. Piggy, for her part, has moved on after her breakup with Kermit, and her new beau, Josh Groban, will be guest starring on this episode as well.
The season premiere of the Muppets TV show is jam-packed with guest appearances, including appearances from Imagine Dragons, Laurence Fishburne, Tom Bergeron, Jay Leno, and Lea Thompson, in addition to Tracy Anderson as herself, Meagan Fay as Holly, Jere Burns as Carl, Riki Lindhome as Becky, Nilla Watkins as Kim and Layla Alizada as Betty.
