Demi Lovato got really honest really fast with the D.N.C. crowd Monday night in Philadelphia. Before performing her single Confident, the 23-year-old singer delivered a speech aimed at the importance of mental-health advocacy. She started by telling her own story:

Like millions of Americans, I am living with mental illness, but Im lucky: I had the resources and support to get treatment at a top facility, she began. Lovato, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 19, is transparent about the fact that she had the resources necessary to help her manage her illness. Since that time in 2010, she has spoken out about her own illness and become a strong advocate for those living with similar challenges.

You know, entering rehab while youre on the Disney Channel, it was kind of like, everything was magnified, in the spotlight. Its quite the headline, she told Elle last year. And I couldnt get around it. So I thought, you know, I can use this to help others. And thats what I did.

But, she reminded her audience Monday night, not everyone can afford that privilege:

Unfortunately, too many Americans from all walks of life dont get help, either because they fear the stigma or cannot afford treatment. Untreated mental illness can lead to devastating consequences, including suicide, substance abuse, and longterm medical consequences.

She made a push for politicians to become educated on mental-health issues and change laws to better serve the Americans who live with them. She believes in this movement so strongly that she has invited members of her treatment team along on her world tour, so that least a small group of people, even for a brief moment, can have the support that I received.

Lovato praised Hillary Clinton as a candidate who would help fight for that support to all Americans who need it. Lets make her the next president of the United States of America.

Then, to the faint tune of Bernie Sanders supporters still chanting in the background, she launched into her hit song. A clear anthem of Hillary support, its lyrics setting what is perhaps the overall tone of a Clinton-led D.N.C.: This is my game, so you better come to play.

Four divas, one fray. Demi Lovato may have started up a new feud with Mariah Carey and innocent bystanders Ariana Grande and Jennifer Lopez were pulled in too.

The drama began when a fan posted a meme on Instagram that compared an old "90s photo of Carey to Grande. When you order it online vs. when it arrives, the text said, seeming to imply that Grande doesnt live up to Careys musical talent.

Lovato, 23, wrote, You got it the wrong way around honey. After Mariah fans started attacking the Cool for the Summer songstress, she commented again to clarify her remark. Mariah is a legend and is so talented but constantly disses people. Its nasty the way she treats Jennifer [Lopez]. Ari did nothing wrong.

Carey and Lopez have been constantly feuding since the early 2000s. In a now-iconic comment to the paparazzi, when Carey was asked about the fellow pop star, she famously stated, I dont know her. Years later in 2014, J.Lo finally opened up to Andy Cohen about the beef between the two stars. I know from back in the day, Ive read things that shes said about me that were not the greatest, but we have never met, Lopez said. Like, we dont know each other. I think its kind of from word of mouth of things that have happened in the past that Im not really aware of.

The feud escalated when Lopez was caught scrolling through her cellphone during Careys performance at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. Lopez later attempted to clarify what had happened during an appearance on Watch What Happens Liveand said, First of all, that was not fair with the texting thing because I watched a lot of it. It was a long performance. I may have looked down for one second and people were like, Look at her! Look at her!"

Meanwhile, Lovato has been fighting with several of her fellow musicians lately. In recent months, she has squabbled with Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift and Pink.

In what is shaping up to be a rough summer for love, Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have broken up, announcing the split with identical statements posted to their respective Instagram accounts.

After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship, they wrote. This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another.

Lovato, 23, and Valderrama, 36, were together for six years and started dating shortly after the singer went to rehab for emotional and physical issues.

Its only the Monday after Memorial Day, and this has already been a summer of celebrity discontent. The past week has been especially difficult for young stars in love. Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris parted ways after more than a year together and Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have reportedly broken up as well.

Demi Lovato - Cool for the Summer (Audio Only)

Demi Lovato took a pretty bad stage tumble over the weekend while performing in Los Angeles at KIIS FM"s summer pool party.

She posted a short Instagram video of the slip, which took place on the roof of the WaterMarke Tower. To her credit, Lovato faced some potentially dangerous stage-slipping elements while singing "Cool for the Summer." She was not only on a wet stage in a pool, but she was also sporting very high heels.

Lovato also joked about the fall on Twitter, writing, "Well... It"s not a tour without busting a*s!!!!!!"

The 22-year-old singer stayed cool, though, getting back onstage before jumping into the pool.

And now Demi Lovato, who will be a bridesmaid at the rapper"s wedding, revealed onSiriumXMthat their relationship was also forged at the department store.

"Our first time hanging out we went to Target...we bought Christmas decorations and things to make ginger bread houses and then we went back to her place and made ginger bread houses."

Demi, 22, explained that the pair were neighbors who "became close over the holidays."

"It was so cool to meet someone who is really real, she"s been through a lot and she"s coming out the others side, also she"s super chill."

The singer and actress also opened up on the moment Iggy, 24, asked her to be a bridesmaid, saying:

"I was there when Nick proposed to her, and she was like "you"re gonna be a bridesmaid!," I said "don"t get my hopes up," she was like "yeah you are!""

Nick got on one one knee for Iggy at his 30th birthday at the beginning of last month, presenting her with a $500,000 ring.

Speaking to Today"s Richard Wilkins last month, she revealed Nick"s family is larger than hers so an Australian wedding is out of the question, but that she plans to bring him Down Under when she visits later this year.
