The searing political drama starring Oscar-winning actressLupita Nyongo features similarly fierce women captive wives of a rebel officer during the Second Liberian Civil War and glitters with flashes of malicious humor. Its also the first Broadway play written by, directed by, and starring women. Alongside the genre-busting Hamilton, it feels like a creative revolution.
