Golf roundup: Jason Day builds big lead at BMW Championship

Highlights | Jason Day locks in the overnight lead at BMW Championship
PGA Tour: Only the weather could stop Jason Day at the BMW Championship on Thursday.Day began his latest quest to reach No. 1 in the world by holing out from a fairway bunker for eagle and powering his way to nine birdies. The PGA champion was 10-under par through 17 holes when the first round at Conway Farms was halted because of approaching storms.Day had just hammered a tee shot 346 yards with the wind at his back, leaving him 44 yards to the hole at No. 9. He needed to hole that shot for a 59, and he had to wait until Friday morning for that. The round was to resume at 7:30 a.m.Day won the FedEx Cup opener at Plainfield for his fourth tour victory of the year. The Australian was four shots ahead of PGA Tour rookie Daniel Berger, who had a 6-under 65.Jordan Spieth had a hole-in-one and followed with a chip-in from 80 feet for birdie to get his game on track. He was at 5 under. It was the best show of the PGA Tour"s postseason, even for a Thursday that was interrupted by a dark and stormy sky north of Chicago. The group of Day, Spieth and Rickie Fowler Nos. 1-2-3 in the FedEx Cup attracted an enormous gallery and the players delivered one great shot after another.Day"s shot from 79 yards in a fairway bunker on No. 1 landed beyond the hole and spun back a few feet for eagle to get him to 6 under. On the par-3 second, Spieth"s tee shot just covered the bunker, hopped once in the first cut and rolled into the cup for an ace, the second of his PGA Tour career.Fowler, coming off his third win of the year at the TPC Boston two weeks ago, was 1 under.Web.com Tour: Brett Stegmaier played his first 10 holes in 8 under and shot a 9-under 63 to take the first-round lead in the Web.com Tour Finals" Small Business Connection Championship.Stegmaier eagled the par-5 18th for a 7-under 27 on his first nine and added birdies on Nos. 1 and 18 at River Run. The 32-year-old former Florida player finished 69th on the Web.com Tour"s regular-season money list and earned $31,000 last week with an eighth-place finish in the series opener in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The four-event series features the top 75 players from the Web.com Tour money list, Nos. 126-200 in the PGA Tour"s FedEx Cup standings and non-members of the tour who earned enough money to have placed in the top 200 had they been eligible to receive points. The top 25 players on Web.com regular-season money list earned 2015-16 PGA Tour cards. They are competing against each other for PGA Tour priority, with regular-season earnings counting in their totals. The other players are fighting for another 25 cards based on earnings in the series.Zack Fisher was second after a 65. He was 48th on the Web.com Tour money list.European Tour: Belgium"s Nicolas Colsaerts had eight straight birdies and finished with a 9-under 63 to take the lead in the Italian Open at Golf Club Milano.Colsaerts is the 11th player in European Tour history to make eight straight birdies, but he won"t get a share of the record because preferred lies were used in the wet conditions.Italy"s Francesco Molinari was tied for second at 65 with Sweden"s Kristoffer Broberg and India"s Shiv Kapur. Molinari won the event in 2006 at Castello di Tolcinasco.

Iggy Azalea responds to TI: "I"m chillin"

Iggy Azalea - Work (Explicit)

Iggy Azalea has responded T.I.s commentsthat he has ended their business partnership. Heres the deal, I am still signed to @tip and do business with him, Azalea wrote on Twitter Thursday afternoon. The first Ive heard of us having an issue is via a radio interview. Personally, I dont think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone thats part of your team

Azalea added that while T.I. seems to think theres nothing wrong with what he said, everybody else seems to disagree.

On Wednesdays edition of Hot 97s Ebro In The Morning, T.I. said that his relationship with Azaleawho was at one point considered his protgcame under duress when she publicly feuded with Q-Tip after the MC alleged she had appropriated black culture.

She had a lot thrown at her in one time, any human being anywhere is going to have a hard time, T.I. explained. Its very difficult to be the new kid and to be the b**t of the jokes and to be directed, like, be the direction of all the negativity, you know what I mean? [Iggy] came at a time when culturally, this nation shes not from here we were actually looking for a source for somewhere to place some pent-up aggression.

For now, Azalea appears to be giving her former mentor the benefit of the doubt. Im sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feel he has the right platform to do so and other than that, Im chillin, she wrote in conclusion. Have a great day guys.

In debate, Ted Cruz pipes up on Iran deal, cutting off Planned Parenthood aid

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz Rally Against Iran Nuclear Deal | The New York Times

Early on, it didn"t look like tonight"s Republican presidential debate was delivering ample moments for Sen. Ted Cruz, the Texan remaining in the field.

Then came questions about Iran and defunding Planned Parenthood.

Around half an hour elapsed between Cruz"s opening statement and his response to a question enabling him to hammer his opposition to the Iran agreement. Saying he"d tear it up once he"s president, Cruz also said the deal hastens Iran"s path to having nuclear weapons.

That"s FALSE, PolitiFact in Washington, D.C., recently concluded. The deal may be less than perfect, but experts advised that its hard to see how implementing the agreement -- rather than doing nothing at all -- would actually "facilitate and accelerate" an Iranian nuclear weapon. The worst-case scenario would be that the deal throws up a couple years worth of roadblocks that would not exist otherwise.

After that fact check was published, Cruz responded in an article for the National Review in response to our fact-check after we published our findings. He disagreed with our rating and argued that our report was biased.

"As I wrote in my new book A Time for Truth, "PolitiFact"represents a new species of yellow journalism, where liberal reporters dress up as "facts"their liberal opinions and accuse anyone who disagrees with them of "lying," " Cruz wrote.

He also repeated his previous comments about why he opposes a nuclear deal with Iran."The notion that the terms of President Obamas deal will in any way prevent Tehran from getting a nuclear bomb is fanciful at best," he said.

In the debate, Cruz went on to say the Iran deal unbelievably lets Iran inspect itself. We"ve been looking into just such a claim by the senator, whose office advises he relied on this Associated Press news story to reach that conclusion.

Cruz also revisited his opposition to federal aid flowing to Planned Parenthood, whose employees have appeared in hidden-camera videos to be cavalierly discussing the use of fetal parts in research. Cruz has repeatedly indicated he believes Congress should stem money to Planned Parenthood this fall even at the risk of shutting down the government. In August, PolitiFact posted this story on eight things to know about Planned Parenthood.

Some time later--the debate ran longer than two hours--Cruz called the appointment of John Roberts to the U.S. Supreme Court a "mistake." Cruz has been critical of Roberts" role upholding the Obamacare law.

In the debate, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush shot back that Cruz had backed the Roberts" nomination when it happened (as this Washington Post news story relates). It"s true, Cruz replied, he backed Roberts once he was nominated.

Cruz said he"d place civil rights activist Rosa Parks on a revamped $20 bill. He called Parks "a principal pioneer that helped change this country."

Naomi Campbell"s #FreeTheNipple photo couldn"t survive Instagram"s silly ...

Naomi Campbell"s explosive Morning TV interview

So many celebrities have endorsed the gender equality campaign Free the Nipple, it was almost a boring event when iconic supermodel Naomi Campbell posted a t*****s photograph of herself on Twitter and Instagram this week. The image was taken down on Instagram by late Wednesday afternoon, but remains on Twitter for the ages and it all has to do with the fact that images that include a woman"s nipples are treated differently by social media networks than that of a man"s. (Reader warning: nipples ahead.)

#FreeTheNipple quickly won over gender equality advocates

If you"re not familiar with #FreeTheNipple campaign, it probably just means you"re rarely on social networks or not a woman (or both). The effort won over many online fans, who see it as part of a larger gender equality movement. Search any network for the hashtag; you"ll find thousands of supportive photos and conversations. The campaign reached peak news interest in 2014, coined the "The Year of the Nipple" by Elle magazine, after Lina Esco and Rumer Willis, Scout Willis, Miley Cyrus, Chelsea Handler, and Rihanna shared t*****s images on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag. Handler went as far as to post the notice she received from Instagram after one of her photos was taken down:

On Tuesday, Campbell tweeted a photograph of herself as part of a plug for Garage Magazine"s latest issue; the same image was posted on Instagram (and has now been removed).

The reaction on Twitter and Instagram has been overwhelmingly positive, and for a time Campbell"s photo became a trending story on Facebook.

Instagram bans nudity, and Twitter is okay with nipples in tweets

Campbell risked both the deletion of the image and also the possible suspension of her account on Instagram. Not so on Twitter, unless she uses the image as an avatar.

  • Instagram bans nudity in every case: "You may not post violent, n**e, partially n**e, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic or sexually suggestive photos or other content via the Service," according to the site"s policy. The rule is poorly applied, and that criticism doesn"t even take into account the fact that Instagram bans a lot of other natural things about women"s bodies, like pubic hair and weight gain.
  • Twitter"s terms allow for "graphic content" in tweeted images, but bans their use in other places like an avatar: "You may not use pornographic or excessively violent media in your profile image, header image, or background image."

What is considered pornographic content, anyway? There"s no universally agreed-upon definition, but the most famous one is the following phrase (misattributed to US Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart): "You will know it when you see it." Campbell"s Instagram photo was taken down, but if anyone could have gotten away with breaking a few rules, it"s probably Naomi Campbell.

Watch Ariana Grande Absolutely Slay Impressions of Britney Spears and ...

Ariana Grande - Break Free ft. Zedd

On Tuesdays episode of The Tonight Show, Ariana Grande let her vocal range do the talking when host Jimmy Fallon challenged her to a game of Wheel of Musical Impressions.

The 22-year-old singer started off with an on-the-nose rendition of Britney Spears singing Mary Had A Little Lamb. She then went on to completely nail The Wheels on the Bus in the style of vocal queen Christina Aguilera.

Fallon and the audience were blown away by Grandes Xtina impression.

We should just stop the show there; I dont know how we can continue, Fallon said. That is unbelievable. Wow, I want that recording.

The host added his own impressions of Aaron Neville singing OMIs Cheerleader and Sting crooning The Weeknds Cant Feel My Face.

Grandes final challenge was to emulate Celine Dion performing Cant Feel My Face. She at first seemed unsure about how to imitate the Canadian artists voice, but once she started singing, it was clear her worries were unfounded. Fallon chimed back in with his Sting impersonation of the song and the two executed a flawless duet.

I love this game, Grande exclaimed.

Scouting Report: Film Shows Brice Butler As Talented But Inconsistent WR

Cowboys Acquire Brice Butler To Replace Injured Dez Bryant

Name: Brice ButlerPosition: WRHeight: 6-3Weight: 205College: San Diego State Draft: 207th overall by Oakland, 2013

Games Studied: 2015 preseason vs. STL, MIN, ARZ, SEA

Report: Brice Butler has all the measureables that scouts look for in a receiver. Hes listed with 4.39 speed coming out of college, but when you watch him play, it takes him a few strides before he is hitting top gear.

I would not call him a sudden player or initially quick, but he can cover some ground once he gets going. He had a nice slant in the Arizona game where he showed a little burst inside against press coverage. Was used on bubble screens out of the slot where he was able to get going once he had the ball in his hands.

He dropped what would have been a sure touchdown on a stutter- go against Seattle, where he sold the route well then was able to gain vertical separation. Showed good body control in that same game against the Seahawks, where he got behind the corner and was able to high-point a ball while getting both feet in bounds. He absolutely had to find space on the play, and he was able to do that.

There are snaps where he plays like he is tall, or too upright, when he is running routes. h**l almost come to a stop to make a cut or curl back for the ball. He will need work here to be cleaner in his routes. On a similar note, I would like to see him take more of an advantage of his size when running his routes. He gets beaten up going down the field -- needs to fight the defender better.

He turned down a slant against the Seahawks where he took a peek at the safety inside and didnt finish. He does have an idea of what to do with the ball in his hands. He had a touchdown against St. Louis where he caught an option route underneath and showed a burst into the end zone. He"s got some versatility the Cowboys" coaches will value, as the tape shows him having experience to both line up at the "X" -- Dez Bryant"s primary position -- as well as in the slot.

For a tall guy, hes got a knack for making tacklers miss in space. He has talent to be more than just a flash player, but I would like to see him be more consistent with the opportunities that he gets. Read
