Oregon Ducks dominate Arizona Wildcats in Pac-12 Championship: Live chat ...

Greatest Plays in Oregon Football History - New! (HD)

SANTA CLARA, Calif. What seemed unlikely in October turned inevitable by December, as the Oregon Ducks and Arizona Wildcats meet to play for the Pac-12 title today at Levi"s Stadium.

The game kickedoff at 6 p.m.

Remember, back on Oct. 2, the Wildcats (10-2, 7-2 Pac-12, College Football Playoff No. 7) rolled into Autzen Stadium and beat the Ducks (11-1, 8-1 Pac-12, No. 2 CFP) 31-24 in an upset broadcast on national television on a Thursday night. At the time, Oregon"s season seemed to have come off the rails. The offensive line was riddled with injuries. The defense was porous. There were composure issues.

That one loss, the second to Arizona in two seasons, sowed seeds of doubt. Would this be a season of coulda-woulda-shoulda? Would the Ducks go into decline in head coach Mark Helfrich"s second season?

No. The Ducks steadied themselves and went on to dominate the Pac-12 North, reeling off seven wins in a row and punctuating the regular season with a blowout win against Oregon State in the Civil War.

Meanwhile, competition in the Pac-12 South wasn"t nearly as clear-cut. Arizona"s march to the title game included a 28-26 home loss against USC and a 17-7 loss at UCLA. The South Division wasn"t decided until the last week of the regular season when Stanford spoiled UCLA"s hopes with a 31-10 upset win and the Wildcats won a wild game, holding off Arizona State 42-35 to clinch the berth.
