But the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience is determined to titillate more than just your ears. (Music-only concerts are so Age of Heroes!) The tour, announced today, will incorporate both audio and visual elements into the stunningly elaborate production.

Powered by Ramin Djawadis remarkable score, the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience will visit 28 cities around the United States. The show will bringing fans an immersive music and visual experience that will bring the Seven Kingdoms to life on a scale never seen before, HBO says.

The preview image, complete with the architecture of Astapor and a heck of a lot of fire, suggests that the event will be every bit as transportive as promised.

(Were going to pretend those are totally real Unsullied on the drums.)

Using state-of-the-art technology, Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi, along with a full orchestra and choir, will take fans on a musical journey through the realm, HBO says.

And expect something new along with the familiar visuals. The concert will recreate the various realms found throughout Westeros and Essos as well as showcase footage from the show in addition to all new imagery created exclusively for the tour.

For seven years, Ramin has been blowing our mind with his musics force, subtlety, and endless inventiveness, say Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. The concert, they feel, will be unique in the history of concert tours, an eye-popping, ear-splitting, phantasmagoric blend of the shows visuals and Ramins powerful compositions. We are more excited for it than anyone.

Tickets for the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience go on sale on Aug. 13 at LiveNation.com. The tour will kick off on Feb. 15 in Kansas City and conquer the American realm, visiting cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, New York, Houston, and Los Angeles, to name a few.

Though Game of Thrones fans may have been sobered recently by the news that the epic HBO series will conclude after two more, shorter seasons, the promise of the concert is sure to perk up the spirits. Who knows? Maybe well even get a dragon.
