Members of the IndyStar sports staff listened in to driver-crew radio correspondence during Sunday"s running of the Indianapolis 500. Here is some of the best from Indy 500 radio in sequence as the race played out:

12:29 p.m. James Hinchcliffe"s crew to the pole sitter:Have a good race, James. Be patient, we have a good car and well be there in the end.

12:41 p.m. Alexander Rossi"s crew:"How"s the car?"

Rossi: "Beautiful."

12:49 p.m. Ryan Hunter-Reay"s crew:"Don"t want to go any further back than second. Hinch will probably pit the same time as you. Don"t want to get crossed up with him."

12:50 p.m. Hunter-Reay: "Got a big vibration in the car for some reason. This is not gonna be good. What the h**l is that?"

12:58 p.m. Marco Andretti"s crew:Just so you know, all of our cars are lifting in all four corners.

1 p.m. Andretti on a perceived block by Ed Carpenter:I cant believe they allow the blocking like they do. It just kills the show!

1:07 p.m. Helio Castroneves" crew:Weve only run 48 laps here, so lets use our heads. Weve got a long way to race.

1:14 p.m. Buddy Lazier:"I"m having another problem. I don"t know what the (expletive)is going on."

1:28 p.m. Juan Pablo Montoya following crash on Lap 64:"It looks like we"re done. The front of the car is (expletive)."

1:32 p.m. Simon Pagenaud after penalty for unsafe pit release on Lap 66:Im speechless, guys ... 1,000 sorries."

Pagenaud"s crew:I dont understand. We argued it. It is what it is ...If anybody gets a penalty, it should be Aleshin, not us.

Pagenaud: Lets get back to it, guys. Thats how Montoya won it last year."

1:40 p.m. Josef Newgarden"s crew: "Hang with "em. Do your best. You"re doing good."

1:52 p.m. Sage Karam after wreck on Lap 94:Heck of a job. Thats a tough break. You guys did a great job.

2 p.m. Townsend Bell"s crew:"The guy leading this race is Clauson and he should have to pit here soon. If not,this could be chaos."

2:17 p.m. Conor Daly"s crew to him after wreck on Lap 115:You were a driving maniac today. You were b****y impressive. So sorry for you.

2:21 p.m. Hunter-Reay after pit stop crash with teammate Bell on Lap 118:What the h**l happened?"

Hunter-Reay"s crew:I dont know; we"llhave to see the replay.

Hunter-Reay: "We just screwed off this whole Indy 500 ...We had a car capable of winning the d**n 500."

2:45 p.m. Graham Rahal"s crew after Lazier"s car loses a tire on Lap 149:Looks the (No.)4 car tried to go it with threewheels.

2:52 p.m. Tony Kanaan:So far I think we showed everybody what we came here to do."

3:01 p.m. Castroneves after JR Hildebrand clips his car, causing rear bumperdamage:Second time, that son-of-a-b***h, Im going to kill that (expletive)!

3:06 p.m. Castroneves" crew:"We"ve got a good car here. We"ll do the best we can. We don"t have to stop; the rest of the guys will."

3:18 p.m. Newgarden to crew regarding Kanaan:Has he pitted?

Newgarden"s crew: No You just concentrate on TK there, bud."

3:20 p.m. Newgarden"s crew:"Nice job. Nice and smooth. Everyone"s gonna need a stop here, a little splash at the end."
